Afternoon, Fools!
@Rex: Just bought your record. You can use the proceeds to add another hula girl lamp to the console.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15pm Uncle Michael:

Not enough oxygen at the Studio B altitude!
  1:23pm Mark in Toronto:

I know City Billy, but I don't know why. What comp is it on?
Avatar 🌮 1:26pm Mailman Tom:

Dort Clark was in one of my favorite episodes of Kolchak the Night Stalker, "The Werewolf". It took place onboard a cruise ship and Dort played the captain of the ship.
Avatar 1:27pm Juke Joint Jonny:

Wow! The Marathon starts in just one week! I can't wait to find out what's going to be on Rex's premium cd this year! Seriously. I can't wait. Really like to know. Like, titles and artists. That sorta stuff. Be nice to get a peek at that info.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:28pm Uncle Michael:

I finally broke down and looked up "my morals have no zipper." "The Scarf": "An asylum escapee meets a waitress and hides on a turkey farm; supposedly he killed someone." Mercedes McCambridge as the waitress, Connie Carter.
Avatar 1:28pm purpleknif:

High praise for the Goulardi mention last week. Stay sick, turn blue.
  1:37pm Mark in Toronto:

Is it Run Buddy Run?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:38pm common:

is dort short for dortimer?
  1:38pm Bill Main:

Run Buddy Run
  1:39pm Marc15:

“Run, Buddy, Run” a CBS sitcom from September 12, 1966, until January 2, 1967
  1:42pm Ochre Ogre:

He was in "The Man Who Fell to Earth" as well, uncredited.
Avatar 🌮 1:43pm Mailman Tom:

He played the lead part of Buddy Overstreet. There was actually a 1967 one-shot comic book published in 1967, and it had a full color cover picturing Dort Clark being pursued by 2 bad guys!
  1:46pm Ochre Ogre:

Great face!! Kind of a David Johansen thing goin on
  1:57pm djsheilab:

Oooh! That was fun!
Avatar 🌮 1:57pm Mailman Tom:

I posted a photo of the comic book on the Fool's Paradise Facebook page.
Avatar 🌮 Swag For Life Member 1:59pm Pedro in Arlington:

Rex - Any way you can do that Pink Floyd/Wizard of Oz thing so the show gels with my stream of the Nationals - Marlins game?
  1:59pm mic_level:

Figured it had to be either Gold Key or Dell:

First question for Blackburn..which character in the book is based on Rex?
  2:17pm Dick Blackburn:

Most of the characters are based on Rex.
  2:18pm P-90:

"Idiot's Delight", eh? Hmmm...
Avatar 2:19pm woim:

as i suspected
Avatar 2:20pm Joe non Papa:

Wasn't Idiot's Delight the name of Vin Scelsa's show on commercial radio?
  2:23pm Guy Walker:

Pepes. Too bad. No good anymore. Clam pizza in 1970 was a whole different animal. So your friends who go there now and don't want it? Good reason, no good anymore, but back in the day, incredible.
  2:25pm joshy:

Charlie’s sandwich shoppe is in south boston. not cambridge. it’s on columbus ave.
  2:27pm Dick Blackburn:

Whoops!
  2:34pm Guy Walker:

Speaking of novel, Joe Bussard movie was longer in the theatres. When the DVD came out it was longer than the DVD you can buy now, because they cut the part where Bussard throws the Beatles record out the window and most of the Black Patti story was edited.
  2:34pm Papito:

Tell the Truth, Shame the Devil !
  2:35pm Dick Blackburn:

Thanksamundo, Rex. Will let you know if I get a reading in NYC late March.
  2:36pm P-90:

Thanks for the interview, guys! Now I gotta buy the damn book...
  2:42pm flaco azule:

Great show today!
  2:52pm Papito:

Bless Rex ! Hear you in 7 days ! Tanxalot !
