Not that an entire album of songs like "Pardon Me" or "My Mistake" wouldn't be a winner. I'm reminded of El Duce's claim in "Woman from Sodom," "I'm very particular, you must understand."

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:04pm

  2:06pm

Not off the top of my head, @MacGuffin. The correspondence and resulting work resides on an email service I no longer access and in a box somewhere stashed away at home. Maybe I can find something on a vestige of the college web site...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:08pm
Gaylord Fields:

@BronwynB: I performed live with Lonnie Youngblood on sax, who also performed and recorded with Jimi. That live performance was released on a CD.

I'm also one musical degree of separation from Yoko Ono, hence two degrees from the Beatles.

@Michael 98145: It seems preposterous when I write it out, but it is true. Especially because I have a recording career of five songs released over 27 years.
  2:11pm
Dean:

Except now I'm curious, MacGuffin.

Your reference to Jimi, Gaylord, reminds me that I spent time last weekend with Warren Dewey, recording engineer, who recorded Jimi back in '69, one of Warren's first jobs. The result finally appeared in 2003, when Martin Scorsese promoted his Presents the Blues CD series. Track 9 on the Hendrix release, "Blue Window," is the work of Dewey.

Indeed. His record store clerk reports he's working on a book. But he's not the kinda guy to tell tales out of school, as far as I can tell. He's more into the technical business of recording, which is great if that's your thing.
