Smash a bottle of booze on the side of a mode of transportation for good luck!
Avatar Wed. 9/6/17 7:08pm TehBadDr:

Not infected, for the large part a symbiotic relationship!

There's some good footage on Youtube of Bess Truman christening a ship and the champagne bottle won't break, so she has to keep banging away.
  Wed. 9/6/17 7:11pm bruce leroy:

it really does feel like young people have far less general knowledge than all previous generations did at their age. I actually talk with a huge range of people everyday as part of my profession.
Avatar Wed. 9/6/17 7:12pm JakeGould:

Young people are so dumb.

For a second I was afraid it was Friends of Lowe's

Get off my lawn! And stop hosting radio shows I dial in my computing thing!
  Wed. 9/6/17 7:15pm bruce leroy:

theyre just ignorant, and i blame it on a sensory overload. when you get whatever you want, all the time on a little screen, from early in your developmental years, its inevitabley gonna affect you.
Avatar Wed. 9/6/17 7:17pm TehBadDr:

I really can't believe you're harshing on this! You can turn your radio dial!
Avatar Wed. 9/6/17 7:19pm kimzilla:

Were on the new schedule! Same bat time, same bat hour!

Poor Jeremy Turkinson: so full of hate and/or troll. BTW I'm nearly senior, and could still best you intellectually. Sad posuer punk, you're a few decades too late! Shit I shouldn't feed you troll!
  Wed. 9/6/17 7:25pm Emily:

There's a comedian (forgive me, I can't remember his name) who does a great bit about the feeling of "not knowing"--as in, if you didn't know something you just didn't know! You couldn't just look it up on your device. I think there's really something to that--and by the same token, when you learned something, you really LEARNED it, and retained it. I think that's something we've unfortunately lost with the advent of immediately accessible technology.

I guess I'm technically a millennial? I'm 30...but man, I sure don't identify with my generation much...
Avatar Wed. 9/6/17 7:27pm cosmic matrix:

just luuuuuvin' this show
Avatar Wed. 9/6/17 7:28pm kimzilla:

@Jeremy if you can't play nice, there are plenty of old dude shows to pick from on the schedule. Just a warning, we have some great people on this board, we want to keep it nice.
  Wed. 9/6/17 7:28pm Emily:

Thanks cosmic! And thanks hypertoast for the name :)
  Wed. 9/6/17 7:29pm Emily:

@bruce: that is to say, I think you're right, sadly. It does seem that an amount of curiosity and retention have gone by the wayside...sigh.
