Anybody know if we got this JB song title right? The filename is not helpful.
  Tue. 3/14/17 7:07am Alison Porchnik:

Good morning! See I woke up early on a snow day, like I said I would.
Avatar Tue. 3/14/17 7:08am Irwin:

Welcome, AP. Despite the raucous programming, it's very quiet in the phone room. Pledges welcome.
Avatar Tue. 3/14/17 7:09am Irwin:

Actually, AP, you're probably pledged out. Let's hear from other listeners.
  Tue. 3/14/17 7:09am SeanG:

How did they get away with playing Jungle Fever on AM radio. No curse but holy smokes!
Avatar Tue. 3/14/17 7:13am Irwin:

It's a ridic song.
Avatar Tue. 3/14/17 7:16am Irwin:

Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 3/14/17 7:18am Alison Porchnik:

Jungle Fever sounded like my perpetually-congested cat.
  Tue. 3/14/17 7:19am noel:

Jonesey after the initial run back in the 70's AM scrubbed it from their playlists I've heard it on radio maybe a handful of times since then. Thanks for playing it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 3/14/17 7:20am Alison Porchnik:

I'm a little disappointed about the lackluster "blizzard" conditions, I must admit. I know, First World problems.
Avatar Tue. 3/14/17 7:25am PsychopathJimFields:

Good Morning, Your Eminence!!!!!
Quick traffic update: There are plows out. Some cops. Not much of anyone else. I guess everyone took the day off to enjoy their bread and milk. I didn't get bread and milk. I got cigarettes and lottery tickets. But I took the day off.
Rock on!
(Hey Irwin!)
Avatar Tue. 3/14/17 7:33am other david:

FM frequency range can skip due to Sporadic E / Tropospheric ducting - it's not reliable like the night time skip down on the AM frequencies, but it can happen occasionally and it can seem like magic.

Alas I don't think I could convince Ken that a 500kW WFMU shortwave transmitter would be financially prudent, so alas the web is the only option to hear you guys in Ireland :)
Avatar Tue. 3/14/17 7:34am Irwin:

Greetings, PsychoMan and OD.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 3/14/17 7:36am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

'Webio' seems an accurate, spiffy term - but don't think it's getting traction...Here in NorthNewEngland - the hills block signals so didn't grow up w/ that classic Murican experience of hearing stations 1,000s of miles away so much...
  Tue. 3/14/17 7:40am SeanG:

jonesy! check out this song by Biters called Stone Cold Love-- it rocks
  Tue. 3/14/17 7:45am Schnipp:

Other david, I used to DX a lot via sporadic E & tropospheric bending/ducting. Mostly TV. Got some interesting loggings. One of the interesting things was how the stronger the E skip, the shorter the hop. Some of us took advantage of more exotic propagation modes: aurora & meteor scatter.
     Tue. 3/14/17 8:28am Listener Robert:

Had a friend here who during the sunspot max got transatlantic TV. It happened that the i.f. circuitry of a standard NTSC TV receiver was tuned to the lowest channel video frequency of the old British TV system, though with black-white polarity reversed.
     Tue. 3/14/17 8:31am Listener Robert:

Among that friend's distinctions was that he'd worked at WOR, and Jean Shepherd used to annoy him by whistling c.w. to him in the hallway.

12-24 inches in Union County per NWS.

* Snow and Sleet Accumulations, 1 to 2 feet with locally higher amounts are possible.
     Tue. 3/14/17 8:41am Listener Robert:

Would it be likely to distract any newcomers here who might otherwise pledge, if I supplied a link to a recent Neil Cicierega mashup?
  Tue. 3/14/17 8:48am jerry h.:

'morning all! I wouldn't exactly call what"s falling snow "flakes"!!
Tue. 3/14/17 8:49am rick in middletown:

i got more frost in my freezer than what's on the ground
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 3/14/17 8:51am kimzilla:

I thought giant flakes meant, that it wouldn't last long. Hmm.
  Tue. 3/14/17 8:52am jerry h.:

consider yourself fortunate, rick
     Tue. 3/14/17 8:53am Listener Robert:

OK, then. It has a message that's pro-mutual-aid, so it might encourage donations if people think about it. Too bad it's too filthy for X-Ray Burns to sing on the air.

Instead of hooking up my CPAP last night, which I should do to help get out of this spate of atrial fibirillation, I went to sleep to a loop of this -- www.youtube.com...
Tue. 3/14/17 8:54am rick in middletown:

the thing is, jerry.. i GOT A LOT OF FROST IN MT FREEZER! hahaha
  Tue. 3/14/17 8:55am jerry h.:

Avatar Tue. 3/14/17 8:59am PsychopathJimFields:

Thank you, gentlemen, for a wonderful radio program.
Tue. 3/14/17 8:59am rick in middletown:

yeah.. there's like a dividing line south of staten island.. we're all about the sleet and rain at this point - while the north is still getting hammered
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 3/14/17 8:59am Bootsie:

Excited at the prospect of a morning show I can listen to! I NEED music in the morning. If you get the slot, I'm definitely in. Enjoying the musical choices!
