Irwin's Marathon Premium
The Cass-CD: Artifacts from Irwin's Cassette Era, 1974-1998
I have hundreds of cassettes containing thousands of sonic artifacts. They're stacked forlornly on shelves, but deserve to be played and heard. Here's a sampler of analog sonic debris: WFMU airchecks, bogus commercials, found sounds, montages, music rarities, vintage WFMU station IDs, interview outtakes, school bands, foolishness and fakery. Tape hiss retained.

there was a pairing in the early 90s that i remember to this day, because me and my friend were literally falling on the floor laughing - but i don't remember who it was. i thought to record it at the time but i had no blank tape there. i feel like it was Scott Williams but i think he wasn't on yet at that time.
