With you there, RRN63, saw him not long ago in NYC, solo performance, sometimes he does an all request show. The audience filled out a form with 3 requests before the show, he picked them out of a bowl, and, with the aid of an assistant who found lyrics on a laptop and printed them out for him, proceeded to do a terrific show, amazing. (he pulled off the Beatles "And Your Bird Can Sing", if my memory serves me well).

As we all know, there is a reggae song for every topic, & on Sunday your compatriot , Jeff Sarge played a song about 7 inch records and how "everyone should try and play one just once ..sure MP-3's are great but 45 rpm records " are a very special thing etc. Great song . just thought I would let you know.

Hey Lise--I don't know if you'll read this, but it was the second song by Earl Oliver's Jazz Babies. I tried to make up for the sentiments of that song with Annette Peacock's "Pony," which flips the script.

thanks joe but where can i find the version with lyrics? ive actually been scouring the internet on and off since i heard it this morning

I don't know. It's an obscure old song so it's likely that the lyrics have never been transcribed.
