Either Glenn L or PGB made it for me from a clip from the original Sex & Broadcasting trailer. It doesn't appear in the official trailer, so we must preserve my Hot Dog Johnny eye-roll here!

Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 2/20/17 3:24pm Scott Williams:

@Marcel, I heard good things about your session last night, can't wait to hear! When are you airing it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 2/20/17 3:25pm Matt from Springfield:

Another one of De Palma's Hitchcock rip-offs (down to this effective, chilling orchestra score) - it also "mainstreamed" a scene from the earlier "Driller Killer" into R-rated Hollywood.
Avatar Mon. 2/20/17 3:25pm geezerette:

Pinot Grigio.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 2/20/17 3:27pm Matt from Springfield:

Another great segue between movie scores!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 2/20/17 3:28pm northguineahills:

Avatar Swag For Life Member    Mon. 2/20/17 3:33pm Brian C.:

Pretty fancy gif you got there fella
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Mon. 2/20/17 3:33pm Jeff:

I was going to say that the track before this sounded pretty Michael Nyman-y, but I now see that there's a good reason for that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 2/20/17 3:40pm Matt from Springfield:

Forget it Matt, it's Jerry Goldsmith.
Avatar Mon. 2/20/17 3:42pm Wendy del Formaggio:

I could listen to "Forever Changes" every day. Except in my move from JC to VT I lost it. So I can't. Hmm. Maybe I should just go buy another one...
Avatar Mon. 2/20/17 3:46pm geezerette:

Love this.

Avatar Mon. 2/20/17 4:09pm geezerette:

Just had a vision of Allen Ginsberg playing his harmonium.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 2/20/17 4:10pm Scott Williams:

Riechmann used to play with Michael Rother from Neu, then in a great 70s band called Streetmark. Sadly he was murdered just before this LP came out, 1978
Avatar    Mon. 2/20/17 4:10pm Sem Chumbo:

Well, that Riechmann awfully great. Hiya, Scott, and all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 2/20/17 4:10pm Matt from Springfield:

"la-la-la-la, la la la-la-la"
it has that grinding sort of rhythm. Could totally see playing a harmonium to that, geezerette!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 2/20/17 4:11pm Matt from Springfield:

Hiya Sem!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 2/20/17 4:11pm Matt from Springfield:

"Clash-Ups" - that phrase I like!
Avatar Mon. 2/20/17 4:11pm Wendy del Formaggio:

When I was in 8th grade, I thought this Eddie Murphy thing was the funniest thing ever. At that time, I was unaware of the rumors about Eddie Murphy. But, had I known, it still would have been funny. Why? Because... BUTTS.

Avatar Mon. 2/20/17 4:20pm geezerette:

Matt, I think he played a lap organ,or something like one.
Harmonium is a beautiful word, but think I was wrong.
Still, thanks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 2/20/17 4:22pm Matt from Springfield:

Harmonium is like a lap organ, it's played on the floor with a keyboard and pumped like an accordion. I think that is what you saw.
Avatar Mon. 2/20/17 4:22pm geezerette:

Yes, it was! :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Mon. 2/20/17 4:25pm Michele:

Love this cover!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 2/20/17 4:25pm Matt from Springfield:

Splendid! :) With Allen being a pioneer in introducing Indian culture to the west, I'm not surprised.

RICH GIRL cover -- this ROCKS!! :D
Avatar Mon. 2/20/17 4:26pm Wendy del Formaggio:

Ooh, a very fine cover of a very fine song: Rich Girl.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 2/20/17 4:26pm Scott Williams:

These guys also do the best Roxy Music cover going, Casanova
Avatar Mon. 2/20/17 4:27pm geezerette:

Avatar Mon. 2/20/17 4:30pm Wendy del Formaggio:

Scott, I cannot find any reference online for Six Eye Columbia -- it all comes back to WFMU and west coast station mentions. Can anyone help out?
  Mon. 2/20/17 4:35pm Carmichael:

Hey Scott and fine holiday peoples.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 2/20/17 4:38pm Ike:

I don't get a lot of results either, Wendy, but there's this from 2001: archives.sfweekly.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 2/20/17 4:40pm Ike (no other):

Also, there are some results on the Yerterbs, like such: www.youtube.com...
Avatar Mon. 2/20/17 4:40pm Wendy del Formaggio:

Thank you, Ike. It may provide some clues... I also wrote to Mike Lupica at Scott's suggestion.
Avatar    Mon. 2/20/17 4:41pm Chris from DC:

Woot, Ashtray Navigation!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 2/20/17 4:44pm Matt from Springfield:

Six Eye Columbia performing at the "second annual bEASTfest" in 2005, performing at Amoeba Records, both in San Francisco. Must be their home base.

It's also hard to find info on them because "Six Eye Columbia" is apparently derived from Columbia Records' jazz lineup/label from the 50s and 60s. LOT of hits for Miles and the like.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 2/20/17 4:50pm northguineahills:

What Chris said....
