Listener comments!

Thu. 11/17/16 7:19pm Figures of Light:

Billy was a true visionary - without him, Figures of Light would never have had a second act. We were honored to work with him and Miriam, and devastated by Billy' untimely death - much too young at 62. Rock on, Billy - wherever you are!
Avatar Thu. 11/17/16 9:08pm Cooh John:

Ah, the inspiration of Los Straitjackets' Itchy Chicken.
  Thu. 11/17/16 9:25pm Caroline:

Good work, Spazz, Joe, and Matt. Thank you!
  Thu. 11/17/16 9:29pm Stevel:

Cheers, to your departed friend and to the rest of you.

Is there a drink of choice, tonight?
Avatar Thu. 11/17/16 9:32pm lorenzoelsuave:

  Thu. 11/17/16 9:36pm Mike tp:

  Thu. 11/17/16 9:46pm Doctor B.:

Which Flaming Groovies album was that version of Shake Some Action from?
  Thu. 11/17/16 9:48pm Mike tp:

  Thu. 11/17/16 9:49pm Joe R.:

"Hello Lucille" takes me back to the late '80s, hearing that on the Hound and being in utter amazement. RIP Billy Miller.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Thu. 11/17/16 10:01pm Uncle Michael:

It's so good to hear all this stuff, guys. I was utterly ignorant of Billy Miller before I glommed onto WFMU. This is like going to school, only more fun.
Avatar Thu. 11/17/16 10:02pm Mailman Tom:

I think the Zantees got their name from an Outer Limits episode titled, the Zantee Misfits.
  Thu. 11/17/16 10:07pm IFisher:

Take Uncle Michael's words and run them thru the ditto machine for me. Sniffing the output optional, but recommended
  Thu. 11/17/16 10:08pm Dungaroos Kipawah:

Boogie McCain could play the harp with his mouth and his nose. An undeniable titan. I once tore a page out of the Gadsden, ALA phone book b/c he was listed. Alas, I never had the stones to call him up out of the blue. Another regret.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Thu. 11/17/16 10:10pm Uncle Michael:

You shoulda sent him a check. He'd have called you.
  Thu. 11/17/16 10:17pm Dungaroos Kipawah:

@ Uncle Muchael: Hahaha. I did that for Hasil once and his sister sent me a hilarious thank you card.
Avatar Thu. 11/17/16 10:33pm Cooh John:

Avatar Thu. 11/17/16 11:06pm Sir Slouch:

The Beach Boys / car wash story might be the funniest I've ever heard on the radio.
  Thu. 11/17/16 11:11pm Bluesman:

Memories of attending the Fuzzfest in Atlanta. The hotel where many of us were staying, including Billy and Miriam, was conveniently located across from A WAFFLE HOUSE. I seem to recall Billy had a few or more meals there over the two day fest.

I moved to NYC in the late 80s and started going to A-Bones shows and that whole scene, and Billy was such a nice guy. He could have easily copped an attitude but he was warm and friendly. Nice guy!
