Favoriting Brian Turner: Playlist from November 1, 2016 Favoriting

Order and disorder in a freeform haze of terribly-played guitars, shorted-out electronics, found audio detritus, strange sounds from strange lands all around. Psych-punk-junk, collage, even pop. Lots of in-studio live performances to boot.

Great start! I was thinking about the Gerry & the Holograms song yesterday.

whew, WFMU is fine, webwise (stream was always fine). the first song reminds me of when i was at rec shop years ago, and saw a GERRY & PACEMAKERS cd. i asked clerk if he could play a song and so he stops the ROCK (or FUNK, or...) song he has on and puts on a random song. the tweeness made my friend wince, and i think the (young) clerk too. a kodak moment.

That Carl Stone track keeps getting better
  4:53pm
Brendan:

Oh its fine when someone brings a plastic pumpkin full of leftover candy. Morning is phenomenal, energetic and gives way to a lunch foregone for more candy. Then the good candies the fun size choco bars begin disappearing. Soon the place is reduced to irritable sunken eyed zombies relegated to watermelon jolly ranchers, mounds and unwrapped candy corn...

Yes, I will. I don't know if it's the main reason, but I started eating dessert every night after my dad passed. Now I'm going back to my normal once a week, along with the usual, more veggies, less white flour, more exercise, blah blah blah.

@RRN63: The plan is to see Heather Leigh and Stephen O'Malley, hopping SOMA is less drunk than last time I saw him.
@Cecile: Again, take care of yourself. I'll be out of this world for a while, and I want to have the station and you around when I come back. Otherwise, it's not a world worth coming back to
