...if this is the skipping CD player, it works good!...harhar...
Avatar Sun. 8/14/16 8:19pm Dave Mandl:

Nope, all sounds you're hearing are intentional (so far).

  Sun. 8/14/16 8:52pm Carmichael:

West Coast is no better. Every day over 100, muggy and gross.
Avatar Sun. 8/14/16 8:55pm Dave Mandl:

I was at an outdoor party last night and the sweat was literally dripping off me. It was hotter during the day.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 8/14/16 8:56pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...didn't I tell you kids to leave the thermostat alone...
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 8/14/16 8:56pm Ike:

I was amazed that the 36th St. subway station in Sunset Park was not hot at 2 p.m. today. Some stations are horrible and others are fine. Some are bad on some hot days and not others. One of those NYC puzzles.
Avatar Sun. 8/14/16 8:57pm Dave Mandl:

A lot of subway cars haven't been air-conditioned lately, which is torture.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 8/14/16 8:59pm Ike:

I try to always be ready to back out of the train car and run over to the next one before the doors close.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 8/14/16 9:01pm JakeGould:

@Ike: I think the deal with 36th Street is it’s right below the sidewalk so there is much better airflow.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 8/14/16 9:04pm melinda:

This was the first version of the Queen of the Night Aria that I ever heard, my family had this album or a similar one when I was a kid. Imagine how good it sounded when I heard it sung well!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 8/14/16 9:04pm Linda Lee:

fantastic show this evening Dave!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 8/14/16 9:05pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...she's not so bad!...in an FMU kinda way...
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 8/14/16 9:06pm Linda Lee:

but really, she was awful.
Avatar Sun. 8/14/16 9:06pm Dave Mandl:

Let's just say she's an acquired taste.
Avatar Sun. 8/14/16 9:07pm Dave Mandl:

Hi Ike, melinda, and Linda.
@Linda: Thanks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 8/14/16 9:08pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...well - if your a stickler for intonation...& timbre...& sustain...stuff...
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 8/14/16 9:13pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

I remember Meryl Streep's singing scene in Ironweed. That hurt my heart.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 8/14/16 9:14pm joeray:

Mrs. Miller would give Florence Jenkens a run for her money as bad vocalists go!
Avatar Sun. 8/14/16 9:20pm Dave Mandl:

I don't think Mrs. Miller was quite as bad!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 8/14/16 9:21pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Mahavishnu Orchestra [wigkey]
John McLaughlin: guitar
Rick Laird: bass
Billy Cobham: drums, percussion
Jan Hammer: keyboards, organ
Jerry Goodman: violin

...damn but it's like Shut Up & Play Yer Gittar for King Crimson...
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 8/14/16 9:21pm joeray:

You may be right Dave, her version of A Hard Days Night is great!
  Sun. 8/14/16 9:24pm Carmichael:

Exactly, RevRab. Before and after its tome.
  Sun. 8/14/16 9:24pm Carmichael:

*time*
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 8/14/16 9:25pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...I could be persuaded to listen to them guys jam for a minute...
Avatar Sun. 8/14/16 9:26pm Dave Mandl:

@RRN63: Yeah, the first two Mahavishnu records are really wild. That's the first.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 8/14/16 9:55pm Alejandroool:
