Oh, yes, those record dealers have all the luck! Wish I were there! Re: country music, there is a long tradition of witty country lyrics. Glad you found some good country stations on that southern route. I mostly found religious stations playing fake follk nd rock music, but with a couple good exceptions.

@mark r: There were many falsetto singers in the '60s. It was a relatively common style going back to the '50s. Besides, Christie was very different fro Valli in that he went from a low tenor to a falsetto, rather than Valli's high tenor to falsetto.

it's a problem of the MKII-type turntables, the speed switches are playing crazy and for a wink of an eye change the speed. It made me puzzle since no obvious mechanic problems. my mum's turntable has the same problem.
