so, i saw a blues legend last night..you can't beat live blues, 15 feet from your chair. Mac Arnold and Plateful of Blues. this guy had so much energy!! the band was smokin'! he played with muddy waters, whom i saw in Frivolous Sal's in p-keepsie waaaayy back in 73. he moved back to greenville and opened a restaurant. he was up here at the Grey Eagle... i gotta do that again. he had both of his gas-can guitars. i took pics, processing them this morning.

What is the official name of the Lead Belly song that was sung by Irene and Ellen Kossoy? Is it "In the Pines" or "Where did you sleep last night?"

Great to have you back, Jeff, I'm bereft on a Monday if I don't have a Shrunken Planet to catch up with.
Thanks for playing Nick Drake rather than the infuriatingly pointless pale photocopy that is a Gareth Dickson cover version. I wish I had GD's talent, but if I did I'd want to put my own stamp on whatever I might cover, however much I revered it.
Something he did have right, though, is the title of the Drake song you played, which is the same as the Gareth Dickson cover of it that you played on Jan 9th: Road (not Radio, as I know you know!)
Anyway, welcome back and thanks for another beautiful show!

That Marissa Anderson upwards of the 20 minute mark...isn't that the music that Irene uses a lot for her bed music between sets?
