Options January 23, 2016: The Name of the Place is I Like It Like That: A Tribute to New Orleans
Went to New Orleans last weekend and heard lots of great music. So what a nice piece of serendipity to get to do this fill-in. Can you handle it? Three hours of New Orleans music-- including tributes to two of the best: Allen Toussaint & Danny Barker. Let me know if you hear anything you like: stevek@wfmu.org

Zydeco memories anyone? How about Buckwheat Zydeco at the Bethesda, MD American Legion in 1987. Bopping Ballmerians... one of the best shows I've ever gone to.

I visited NOLA over Christmas and at one point was walking around with this Gary US Bonds tune coming through the earbuds
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sat. 1/23/16 8:37am testingwithfire:

the beauty of NOLA is that someone's always playing something good on their car stereo or in the coffeeshops/bars... no autotune anywhere that I heard
