Favoriting Brian Turner: Playlist from December 22, 2015 Favoriting

Order and disorder in a freeform haze of terribly-played guitars, shorted-out electronics, found audio detritus, strange sounds from strange lands all around. Psych-punk-junk, collage, even pop. Lots of in-studio live performances to boot.

Will a new version of "History of Punk on the LES" be made to note the opening of the CBGB restaurant in Newark Airport?
  3:50pm
Dean:

I posted this on Tony Coulter's reprise of a Tape Hiss today, but it seems fitting right now here, too: http://www.nydailynews.com/life-style/eats/rock-club-cbgb-reopening-restaurant-newark-airport-article-1.2473259

Hmmm, I heard them live when they opened for Cheap Trick in late 1978 at UC Irvine. But I don't think that was the New Years Eve show I heard, probably the next year, from Cheap Trick in Long Beach. The bigger the venue, the better Cheap Trick got, remarkably.
