Avatar 12:03pm Tomophobic Tom:

Hi Joe and all.
Avatar 12:03pm Tomophobic Tom:

Hi Joe and all.
Avatar 12:04pm Claw!:

Noice!

Hey Joe!
Avatar 12:04pm V Priceless:

Hey Joe! Fences!
Avatar 12:04pm Cecile:

man
Their singer so reminds me of Paul Stanley.
Avatar 12:06pm Tomophobic Tom:

oooh Cecile how do I stuff that back in the bottle?
  12:08pm KP:

Happy Monday, Joe
Avatar 12:09pm Todd-o-phonic:

David Marks..perhaps the greatest Marks brother!
Avatar 12:11pm Dr. Goot:

Howdy folks, let's rock!
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 12:11pm Hoboken Jack:

Happy Rock-ashanah
Avatar 12:12pm Joe B:

hey Everyone! thanks for tuning in/checking in! OBN III's here ready to rock! probably around 1 pm!
Avatar 12:12pm Cecile:

Sorry, but I can't help it if Kiss laid their greasy paws on his vocal chords
Avatar 12:13pm Joe B:

You are correct TOT! and yes eternally grateful for the trip to see the Swami
Avatar 12:14pm Joe B:

hey Greg, Cecile, Tom, Claw, VP, KP, Jack, Dr G!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm Mike East:

nice new avatar, Joe B. Looks like you've been playin some skee ball
Avatar 12:17pm Tomophobic Tom:

I have always believed the much used and now apparently retired burger avatar looks a lot like a surgeon when I take my glasses off.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19pm Mike East:

you are not alone there, Tom.
Avatar 12:23pm Joe B:

Mike, first one to notice! the burger was from the legendary remote broadcast we did from the now closed fatburger. hope lucky leo's doesn't suffer the safe fate
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:23pm Power Papi:

I'll miss the guy with surgical mask and sunglasses...
Avatar 12:24pm Joe Belock:

ha! good one Papi!
Avatar 12:26pm Cheri Pi:

whoa OBN III's today? Hail Yass!
  12:29pm Romeyn:

WTH is going on. im listning via old analogue radio and all i hear is incidental music? did something happen at the station?
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 12:33pm Hoboken Jack:

The home page says there's been a signal problem since Friday due to a Verizon outage near the transmitter.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:33pm Mike East:

@Romeyn - the 91.1 transmitter is having some issues. they are working on it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:34pm Mike East:

was Todd's Ric Flair interview skipping on the web too or was that just over the air?
Avatar 12:36pm Joe B:

it was skipping?
Avatar 12:36pm Carmichael:

Heya Joe and listeners.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm Mike East:

over 91.1, for a good 5-10 minutes it kept repeating the same 25 seconds of audio. It was a trip.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39pm Mike East:

maybe it was less than ten minutes. I dunno...it was long enough where I had to tune out cuz it was freaking me out. Kept checking back every minute or so.
Avatar 12:42pm Cecile:

maybe she's talking so much because nobody listens to her.
  12:44pm JakeGould:

@MikeEast & @JoeB: Yes, it sounds like skipping. But it isn’t. It’s the downlink choking.
Avatar 12:44pm Todd-o-phonic:

@Mike East: The Flair interview was just skipping on radio signal...should be fine in archives if you want to check it out.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 12:45pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Long live Joe II!
Avatar 12:46pm Cecile:

no joe II. He's Joey JoJo Shabadoo!
Avatar 12:46pm Joe B:

apologies for the 91.1 problems.

re the flair interview - glad to hear it wasnt me screwing up for a change!
Avatar 12:47pm Joe B:

ha! too bad i was upstairs to foil any transitional moments
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:48pm crateslinger:

RIP Kevin Donahue of Flesh and the Devils. Little known outside of Cincinatti, but this guy turned me on to garage rock in 1987 with his nuggets comps. You can download two singles here. Perfect for three chord monte... check it out Joe.

Peace Kevin.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:48pm Mike East:

will do, Todd. The Irma Thomas interview was great, too, though I have to archive that as well cuz in the middle I had to drive through the FMU deadzone where rt 46 turns into 3, so I missed some.
Avatar 12:50pm Joe B:

thanks for the heads up, sorry for your loss
Avatar 12:51pm Cheri Pi:

Agreed, perfect for this show JB, will try and get Stace to send some 45s as well.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:51pm crateslinger:

I'm Dan. He's Kevin. Peace to him. Thanks to you Joe.
Avatar 12:51pm Tomophobic Tom:

@ Cecile - you probably have been just really into Paul Stanley's latest soul project with tunes like just my imagination and could it be I'm fallin in love. Lots of Roxy videos on the internet. I just don't know what to think anymore.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 12:51pm Ken From Hyde Park:

@Cecile - OK...will try to remember that. If all else fails, I may revert to Joe AM & Joe PM, which is easy to fathom (US Eastern time zone, anyway).
Avatar 12:52pm Joe B:

got it thanks Dan
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:53pm Alex of Chicago:

This song's got everything.
  1:01pm JakeGould:

I liked that Suzi Quatro… Which is something I rarely say.
Avatar 1:01pm Joe B:

holy shit this is gonna be great! OBN III sound checking!
Avatar 🎸 1:02pm David Shortell:

Out of curiosity, I just Googled "handsome dicks". Bad idea.

I did see a certain Handsome Dick in the audience at last night's Pandoras show, yelling at the crowd to move forward for the opening act.
Avatar 1:04pm Joe B:

also be careful with Nude Beach!
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 1:05pm Artie Haywire:

Honestly, I'm just here for the rock-n-roll.
  1:06pm P-90:

Personally, I was always in the "Suzi Quatro: always somewhat underrated" camp. I think it's a generational demographic cohort thing.
Avatar 1:07pm Cecile:

Tomophobe Tom - no, it's because Kiss Alive has its greasy handprints all over my brain. As it does for Sloan as well.
Avatar 1:08pm Tomophobic Tom:

Yea I had some rough moments on that first Nude Beach Google. I felt so guilty I had to google Wyldlife to get my spirituality back.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 1:08pm Ken From Hyde Park:

If Suzi Quatro is good enough for Johnny Fever, she's good enough for me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:11pm Power Papi:

And lets not forget she played Leather Tuscadero on Happy Days!
Avatar 1:12pm Tomophobic Tom:

I walked by her house on the way home from high school every day.
Avatar 1:16pm Cecile:

Fabio's bed music!!!!
Avatar 1:17pm Joe B:

yup!
Avatar 1:19pm Cecile:

It's great to hear it all the way thru.
Avatar 1:19pm Cheri Pi:

Goodbye eardrums!
Avatar 1:21pm Whooda:

Just turning in DJ Joe Belock. Oh good fun!
Avatar 1:25pm Cecile:

this kicks ass
Avatar 1:25pm Joe B:

peter pan was the perfect lead-in!
Avatar 🎸 1:29pm David Shortell:

Peter Case is playing Wednesday at the Saint (601 Main St, Asbury Park, NJ).

Avatar 1:33pm Joe Belock:

Avatar 1:34pm Cecile:

this guy has a great Phil Lynott tone to his voice.
Avatar 1:35pm Listener Jumpy:

Happy New Year. I want to thank my Jewish soul brothers & sisters for the day off.
Avatar 1:36pm Cheri Pi:

Cubicles represent!
Avatar 1:36pm Joe B:

cecile right again
Avatar 1:37pm Cheri Pi:

thanks JB :)
Avatar 1:37pm jljl:

Please tell OBNIII's to email before the next tour and we'll make a better Boston show next time.
  1:37pm katy:

Loving it!! Very Thin Lizzy vibe, very awesome. They sound like Electric Mayhem when they speak :)
  1:38pm Bryan D:

Hey Joe, Kevin was indeed a true gem of a guy. His band The Pariahs we basically a Back From The Grave cover band, And they did it with perfection. His band Flesh bs the Devils featured Stace from The Long Gones on guitar. They did a 7" last year. I'm pretty sure that Stace sent one up. If not, I'll be sure that you get one!
  1:39pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...Rawk ! ! ...
Avatar 1:42pm Cecile:

anthem for this year, for damn sure.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:46pm Guido from Cologne:

Great song
Avatar 1:51pm jonathan_valdez:

hey tom.
Avatar 1:53pm Cecile:

their drummer looks like he's 15. But he drums like Phil Rudd on meth.
  1:54pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...touch of Saints here
...firin' all cylinders here - songs, energy - loves a great drummer: the planet is lousy w/ us guitarheads...freakin' great.
Avatar 1:54pm Whooda:

Ha ha. Nice try Joe, I wouldn't mind listening to this live set again too.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 1:58pm Ken From Hyde Park:

I used to watch that show religiously.
Avatar 2:00pm Cecile:

Fort Worth is the home of Complete!
Avatar 2:01pm Whooda:

I'm from Norman, OK. Save yourselves the engery and pass on Lloyd Noble Center. The numbnuts won't know the difference.
Avatar 2:04pm Todd-o-phonic:

Wow! After that set (+ interview!) I am even more stoked to go to Union Pool tomorrow night!
Avatar 2:05pm Whooda:

I mean the 'numbnuts' in Norman aren't worth your time to play there.
  2:10pm V Priceless:

Rockin show, JB!
Avatar 2:12pm Carmichael:

Wow, clicky-starring Cool Ghouls!
Avatar 2:14pm Carmichael:

@Whooda: I saw Johnny Winter there at OU in the late 70s.
  2:19pm Sissophonic Cheryl:

Finally back at my desk, Wow! Thank god for phone app!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:23pm Bronwyn Bishop:

Just tuning in, but I'm so happy to see you played David Marks & the Marksmen. Dave is a great guitarist who deserves more recognition. Shame I missed the Hollies too...
  2:28pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

'Little Girl' a Van Morrison & Them song (where I know it from) - which reminds me again of how that early Them prefigures the doors so much to me...but enuff of that today : ) ...
Avatar 2:35pm Listener Jumpy:

I did see the warning that there was a lot of surf instrumentals coming over the airwaves!
  2:36pm JakeGould:

Hey! 91.1FM seems to be back in business her in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.
  2:44pm SeanG:

FEELIES!
Avatar 🎸 2:46pm David Shortell:
