Trying to organize my cds. Probably not good idea while listening to radio but ... priorities ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 6/17/15 12:11pm sugarwolf:

I lived in a house full of Ani fans in college.
Avatar Wed. 6/17/15 12:12pm Amanda:

We all did! Wait, was I living in that house?
Avatar Wed. 6/17/15 12:13pm northguineahills:

My college gf used to love Ani, it was one a few places our music tastes differed.
Avatar Wed. 6/17/15 12:19pm northguineahills:

I like how M.C. Schmitt of Matmos did soundtrack music for gay porn to help pay for college.
  Wed. 6/17/15 12:19pm Dean:

Uncle Bonsai need to be careful what they ask for.

Hi Amanda, and fellow *collective noun for Nazario Scenario listeners*. Got my swag yesterday, was pleasantly surprised to see I'd won the Marianne Faithful CD. So thanks for that! I was listening to the show, but must have missed my name being called for it.
  Wed. 6/17/15 12:26pm Dean:

Looking forward to a full set of AC/DC. And maybe Priest.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 6/17/15 12:27pm sugarwolf:

My coworker was calling her teenage brother a crybaby and "boys don't cry" so it's sad that the message behind Free to Be...You and Me is still needed
Avatar Wed. 6/17/15 12:27pm Rich in Washington:

William wants a RealDoll.
  Wed. 6/17/15 12:29pm P-90:

Alan Alda singing sounds exactly like Alan Alda.
Avatar Wed. 6/17/15 12:29pm Amanda:

I know! It's delightful.
Avatar Wed. 6/17/15 12:29pm Rich in Washington:

It is sad that many of the themes in FTBY&M seem looked upon as being overly sensitive. Maybe lots of the values expressed therein have been internalized, though.
Avatar Wed. 6/17/15 12:30pm Rich in Washington:

there was a pretty funny parody a couple of years ago, with lots of fairly well-known comedians. I think it's called It's OK To Do Stuff.
  Wed. 6/17/15 12:35pm P-90:

Remember Alan Alda has musical comedy roots, his dad was the original Sky Masterson in "Guys and Dolls"
  Wed. 6/17/15 12:37pm Dean:

Hey, "not liking" is not the same as "hating"!
  Wed. 6/17/15 12:38pm Dean:

I'm indifferent to Ms. (or Mr.) DiFranco.
  Wed. 6/17/15 12:39pm P-90:

Chicks dig it if you like Ani DiFranco.
  Wed. 6/17/15 12:40pm Dean:

Are there no songs about Long Beach International Airport? The airport code is LGB.
Avatar Wed. 6/17/15 12:40pm Roberto:

This is mashed up with the Beatles' "For No One" on Ken's 2005 marathon premium.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 6/17/15 12:43pm sugarwolf:

@P-90: we do??
Avatar Wed. 6/17/15 12:44pm Rich in Washington:

Oh-wa tador Khayam.
Avatar Wed. 6/17/15 12:48pm northguineahills:

Funny, my college gf was from Rochester, (although we went to school in FL). All of her friends loved Ani as well.
Avatar Wed. 6/17/15 12:49pm KP:

This Scott Thompson is under his own name?
Avatar Wed. 6/17/15 12:49pm Flash Strap:

Buddy Cole was genius, still is genius.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 6/17/15 12:52pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

I credit Ani D w/ being Pete Townshend's heir on the acoustic guitar slamming that thang into clip like that - & have never got an affirmative reaction doing so yet - as well as cred for Politrix & running her own label &tc. ...not that I honestly choose to listen to her (out of all options) as such...
Avatar Wed. 6/17/15 12:58pm Amanda:

@Flash Strap - I know! The sketches hold up so well. KP, to answer your question it was a YouTube video of a KItH sketch, with that title
Avatar Wed. 6/17/15 12:59pm bpd:

Accidental mashup made this Village People song even more insanely macho - the site I'm looking at for work is looping a truck ad with a Sam Elliott VO.
Avatar Wed. 6/17/15 1:00pm Amanda:

Sam Elliott's voice would sound great on a Village People record IMO.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 6/17/15 1:01pm sugarwolf:

Sam Elliott is peak butch!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 6/17/15 1:01pm sugarwolf:
