Nick! Yes. Proggy. Do you take into consideration that your first song will follow the sounds of a chimp?

Hey Kids!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 6/12/15 12:11am coelacanth:

hey there rw
  Fri. 6/12/15 12:11am P-90:

Doesn't everything sound good following Dave's chimp tones?
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 6/12/15 12:11am Tome:

I'm liking the start here Nick & good morning
  Fri. 6/12/15 12:11am cheri:

greetings nick, glad to see you're still on the schedule!

Hello all - thx for checking in

Hello people!
  Fri. 6/12/15 12:28am cheri:

nick, i know you don't normally take requests but do you have any "spike jones jr" tunes at the station? i asked dave the spazz, but i got no answer from him.
  Fri. 6/12/15 12:30am Nick Name:

hi JG / @rw: not yet, but i may do one day, ha ha. / @P-90: i spaced a few weeks back: i listen to fmu on Sennheiser's 125's - had them for years and I'm really used of them.
  Fri. 6/12/15 12:33am Sigurður:

what the fuck
  Fri. 6/12/15 12:35am Nick Name:

@Cheri: will try my best… if not this week, will do so another
  Fri. 6/12/15 12:37am cheri:

thnx very much nick.
  Fri. 6/12/15 12:45am cheri:

to me i think "spike jr" is much crazier than "spike sr" do you agree, nick?
Avatar Fri. 6/12/15 12:52am northguineahills:

I never tire of this Ride track....., oh, the Mimi & Richard Farina track was tops too!
Avatar Fri. 6/12/15 12:52am JakeGould:

Ride! Such a great, somewhat forgotten band! They and other Brit-pop bands tend to be forgotten thanks to Nirvana and American Indie dominating in the early 1990s.
  Fri. 6/12/15 12:54am MONEYBAG$:

I have had to wait 23 years for Ride to come around these parts
  Fri. 6/12/15 12:54am P-90:

Wow, i hadn't heard anything from that "Brain Damage" album in years and years, I'd forgotten all about it. Early 80's classic.
Avatar Fri. 6/12/15 1:04am northguineahills:

I don't know, the clubs I went to in HS and college down south played a lot of "Brit pop" w/ American indie, but they were smallish clubs.
  Fri. 6/12/15 1:04am cheri:

I got to get going, goodnight nick and all!
  Fri. 6/12/15 1:06am cheri:

see you all next week!
Avatar Fri. 6/12/15 1:09am JakeGould:

@northguineahills: Well, there are always exceptions to the rules. But bands like “Th' Faith Healers” disappeared from popular consciousness the second Nirvana became and thing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 6/12/15 1:10am Īke:

Just before the broadcast of the live Ride set from Barcelona, Brian & Liz joked that next Curve will have to get back together. I wish! That's my favorite British band of the 90s, but they already broke up & got back together circa 1995-96, and were even less successful afterwards. Too bad they were 20 years ahead of the times with the getting back together thing.
Avatar Fri. 6/12/15 1:15am JakeGould:

FWIW, Nick the Ride track inspired me to go through my ticket stub collection scans. Names of venues that no longer exist: The Marquee, The Academy… Damn…

Avatar Fri. 6/12/15 1:22am JakeGould:

You mean, this? www.youtube.com...
Avatar Fri. 6/12/15 1:24am northguineahills:

Man, I really dug Curve, but I only stumbled onto them in '94.
Avatar Fri. 6/12/15 1:25am JakeGould:

Lush, Ride, Stone Roses and Happy Mondays (in small doses) was my thing back then.
  Fri. 6/12/15 1:32am Sigurður:

I mean this
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 6/12/15 1:33am coelacanth:

Nick,it's been a long week, as it continues to get longer!
i'm off -Thank you!
ciao people.
Avatar Fri. 6/12/15 1:33am JakeGould:

Welp, looks like “Curve” has their whole catalog up on Bandcamp. curve.bandcamp.com
  Fri. 6/12/15 1:40am P-90:

Ride's live set at Barcelona was very tight, I was impressed. I know their fans have been lobbying for a reunion tour for years.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 6/12/15 1:41am Īke:

Yep, Jake, that's the stuff. Final proper album was 2002, then they crumbled for good. Oh well.
Avatar Fri. 6/12/15 1:42am northguineahills:

Thanks Jake!
  Fri. 6/12/15 1:42am ?:

Archives aren't working anymore. Thought you guys should know.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 6/12/15 1:45am Ike:

Woah! I was having a problem with the pop-up archive links a few hours ago, but I thought it was just me! I figured Slime Warner was fucking with me again. Clearly I was wrong.
  Fri. 6/12/15 1:49am Nick Name:

@ ?: Worked for me , but clearly not for all, will report to the powers that be - thankyou.
Avatar Fri. 6/12/15 1:51am JakeGould:

@northguineahills: You’re welcome.
@Ike: Oddly sad, cool that the band is on Bandcamp. At least their tunes are out there, easy to access and easy to link to for the Millenials with their mobile devices.
  Fri. 6/12/15 1:53am cheri:

nick, thanks for trying.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 6/12/15 2:11am Ike:

To be more specific, I can get the archive MP3 links to work, but not the archive pop-up links.
  Fri. 6/12/15 2:18am Nick Name:

thx Ike
  Fri. 6/12/15 2:31am rw:

Pop up players seem to be working for me. I tried on a PC and a Mac.
  Fri. 6/12/15 2:57am myka:

  Fri. 6/12/15 2:59am P-90:

Thanks Nick
  Fri. 6/12/15 2:59am rw:

Wow is right. Where does the time go?? Thanks again Nick!
