	9:11pm JakeGould: @doca: NO TUBA! One time I was in the Broadway-Lafayette street subway station and heard what sounded like a seal dying in the subway. It was a musician very sincerely trying to entertain commuters with his tuba playing. EVERYBODY covered their ears until he stopped. It was so sad and annoying. The guy could play well… But in a subway station with those acoustics? NO!

I guess the guy needed money, knew how to play tuba and decided, “Well, this is a good idea…” People did feel sorry for him because nobody told him to shut up or stop. But everyone was looking at each other in commiseration with ears covered. Ah, humanity.

I thought it eas interesting, how music can be physically demanding on a body level even to the listener

What I liked about her response was that it showed how much of listening is an active enterprise. Of course, there are as many types of listening as there is types of music

My family has been getting their chocolate and candy for years, top notch stuff. my only complaint is they changed their jelly bean recipe this past year or two.. not the same.. but the chocolate it the best.

The guy could play well… But in a subway station with those acoustics? NO!

My family has been getting their chocolate and candy for years, top notch stuff. my only complaint is they changed their jelly bean recipe this past year or two.. not the same.. but the chocolate it the best.
