Watching Kevin during those cows gigs made me wanna get a bass. Dude was a psycho-eyed fool of awesome.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:48pm

The Cows were a crucial part of that genre of music I call Ugly Atonal Eighties: Butthole Surfers; Birthday Party; Stickmen W/Rayguns/Scratch Acid; Killdozer et al.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 1:49pm

Go, Cows!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:59pm

My earliest school memory was kindergarten and girls (who were High School kids assisting for credit) asking me if I was related to Mark Lindsay, since I shared that last name. I had no idea who that was.
Avatar 2:01pm
Diane Kamikaze:

Sorry Cecile; I'm playing PR/Raiders off of spotify and I did NOT like either version of both of those songs and I don't want to chance another dud... And how could anyone mix up the two of them? I met Mark Lindsay about 2-3 years ago. I told him that LET ME was one of the best rock songs ever written... :)

Holy crap! I've never heard of Crushed Butler before. Amazing!
Avatar 2:01pm
Chris from DC:

Oh yeah, they're great.
Avatar 2:01pm
Diane Kamikaze:

I find it hard to believe that Paul Revere was 76 though...?
Avatar 2:02pm
Cecile:

He was the oldest of the group - he was in his late 20s when the rest of the band was in their teens.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:03pm
Rich in Washington:

Whenever I think of Paul Revere solo, I think of the SCTV sketch where he's the house act in some dive bar, playing instrumental Raiders songs...
Avatar 2:04pm
V Priceless:

I guess PR was the Jet Black of the band, in terms of age. Literally.
Avatar 2:06pm
Rev. Turnip Druid:

My very first record (not counting kiddie records) was the Paul Revere 7" for HUNGRY. A gift from mum. Age 4 or 5. And behold, the tune still rocks.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:30pm

I liked some of their stuff I had on comps but found their albums kind of unengaging. Probably says more about my listening habits in the 90s more than the quality of their music. They were undeniably talented and dynamic enough.
