Hey ho, NGH! I left my cerebral cortex in San Francisco
Avatar Tue. 9/16/14 12:28pm still b/p:

The doc is pretty good in how much info you get across the chronology. Though they're real and relevant, the conflicts among producers and stakeholders get tedious. Fun interview moments when an older wiser Lazenby paints himself as a bozo when he had his shot.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/16/14 12:30pm DCE:

the Jeremy Spencer version of FM?
Avatar Tue. 9/16/14 12:30pm Tony Coulter:

The Lazenby film is my fave Bond flic -- in large part because of Diana Rigg.
Avatar Tue. 9/16/14 12:32pm Tony Coulter:

Yep, that's the one, @still b/p.
Avatar Tue. 9/16/14 12:42pm still b/p:

Ha! We need what..? Just saw this re Diana's Avengers days:
"I got a lot of very odd fan mail while I was in that show, but my mum used to enjoy replying to it. Some of the men who wrote to me must have been a bit startled because she would offer really motherly advice. I would get a letter from a teenage boy, say, who was overexcited and my mother would write back saying: 'My daughter is far too old for you and what you really need is a good run around the block.'"
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/16/14 12:45pm listener james from westwood:

There's a book-length (and ALL CAPS) discourse on the entire Bond series under the FILM CRITIC HULK persona out there.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/16/14 12:47pm listener james from westwood:

still b/p: Such motherly advice would have made Britain a nation of Olympian runners. Diana Rigg giggity gig! (No offense to fellow Avenger/Bond girl Honor Blackman.)

I think we're all a "I was scared shitless by The Outer Limits" support group. I remember having nightmares about A: monsters coming out of the TV set & B: Scary looking people talking directly to me via the TV (and you can't turn it off) as a result of watching Outer Limits as a little kid.

What I liked about OL vs Twilight Zone is that the former almost always guaranteed a bug eyed monster or something equally freaky/frightening.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Tue. 9/16/14 1:55pm Andrew Waterloo:

The thing that really scared the crap out of me when I was a kid was this thing with TV's on rolling TV stands attacking people. I can still picture them roaming the streets and showing up in the shower. I think it was actually a Saturday Night Live skit or something.

Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 9/16/14 2:12pm Jeff Golick:

Some of the older stuff rivals the bent bloody sadism of recent horror entries --at least in whacked concepts if not explicitness of gore actually seen. What I thought was perhaps a Night Gallery entry, I just learned was in a '72 film, Tales from the Crypt, but based on an older comic. Blind guys' revenge on their cruel caretaker: they starve his bad-ass dog to madness, then set it after him while he has to run in the dark through narrow passageways with a whole lotta razor blades embedded in the walls. Invent and describe something like that to a schoolmate today and the cops might come a'callin'.
