Fri. 5/9/14 9:58am Sandy in Houston:

I saw Nobukazu Takemura open for Tortoise back in about 2001. It was the first time I saw a laptop set! & good morning everyone.
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 9:58am DCE:

Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 10:00am Mike East:

Its funny, my daughter noted this morning how quickly Friday seemed to come this week, and I couldn't disagree more.
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 10:06am adrian in mpls:

Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 10:30am arturo:

Nice segue after the skip!
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 10:30am TDK60:

Yes, I wanna be free. Previous cut was perty (Galbraith et al).
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 10:34am arturo:

It's the Numero reissue box set. Well deserved, too.
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 10:35am Guido from Cologne:

In the 80ies i was painting in acrylic while listening to vinyl - in the same room. Not that there were drips of arcylic, no. Dry grains sticking in the grooves of acrylic color were a serious desease, that made a lot of records skip. ... certain paper inner sleeves can be a similar disease.
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 10:35am TDK60:

Hey! Why am I purple and everyone else red?
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 10:36am Mike East:

cuz you clicked on your own profile, TDK60
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 10:37am TDK60:

I'm caught!
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 10:41am DCE:

you're red to us!
  Fri. 5/9/14 10:41am Robert:

I knew a Laure, spelled that way, 30 yrs. ago. Are you Laure A.-N.. who studied Russian and put on A-Fest?
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 10:41am common:

it's all red.
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 10:44am common:

love the death and silkworm tracks! Thanks Laure!
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 10:45am Guido from Cologne:

oh man ... it should have read:
Dry grains of acrylic color sticking in the grooves were a serious desease, that made a lot of records skip.
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 10:53am Rev. Turnip Druid:

.......what's all this then?
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 10:56am TDK60:

Got to hear Partch played recently in NJ. Great show. The instruments are possibly going into storage as reported on Irwin's show.
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 10:58am Mike East:

I dug it at 33
  Fri. 5/9/14 10:58am J-Mar:

I kept thinking this track sounded familiar...and yet different!
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 10:59am Cubicle Carl:

Yes, it sounded eery and intriguing at 33
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 11:01am TDK60:

Y.L.T. usually, mostly sound intriguing at any speed. I don't like everything but almost. (93%?)
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 11:06am Sullivan Ballou:

this is like Keilli played at the wrong speed. I like her.
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 11:17am DCE:

anything on Kranky gets the auto-click
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 11:18am Sullivan Ballou:

Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 11:18am Cubicle Carl:

This Christine Vanatou piece would also sound pretty cool slowed down a bit. We need to set up a patch to some pitch control software in the studio.
  Fri. 5/9/14 11:20am Hugh:

Flying Saucer Attack! One of my faves. Thank you.
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 11:20am adrian in mpls:

Wow -FSA! This is a real treat!
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 11:20am Sullivan Ballou:

I LOVE FSA!!! (I also know the bassist!)
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 11:20am Guido from Cologne:

cannot find any Christina Vanatou nor Kranky Records !!!
something wrong?
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 11:20am Sullivan Ballou:

me too. Google yields nothing. sadface:(:(:(
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 11:21am Guido from Cologne:

... so long such a nothing on Google ... is it intentional?
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 11:22am TDK60:

No Means No is great. The Christine V. piece catches me. Flying Saucer Attack is a fun name.
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 11:23am Guido from Cologne:

"Small Parts Isolated and Destroyed" ... geeee ... I have that one ...
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 11:23am Guido from Cologne:

BUT WE DESPERATELY NEED Christina Vanzou !!!
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 11:24am Sullivan Ballou:

Believe it or not that was a cover of a Suede song.
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 11:24am Sullivan Ballou:

Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 11:27am Sullivan Ballou:

Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 11:33am TDK60:

I will!
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 11:34am TDK60:

It seems Sun Ra is the most played artist on WFMU.
  Fri. 5/9/14 11:35am Robert:

You don't sound like the Laure A.-N. I knew, but 30 yrs. can do a lot to change someone's voice and my memory.
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 11:38am Guido from Cologne:

No I remember Christina Vantzou ... i first heard her on saturday's "Shrunken Planet"-show !!!
two times she grabbed me instantly!
Fri. 5/9/14 11:38am That Bipolar Guy:

Hello laure I'm sorry I don't remember you. But you sure do have a nice voice
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 11:40am DCE:

Fri. 5/9/14 11:40am That Bipolar Guy:

Laure you should get a twitter account
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 11:41am Mike East:

damn, Ike, that's right next to my work. If I didn't have a wife and kids that needed me home, I'd be there. Saw a poster for it the other day. enjoy the show.
Fri. 5/9/14 11:41am That Bipolar Guy:

Hello from wet overcast Brooklyn everyone
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 11:45am Guido from Cologne:

That synth sounds like an SMS-entry on my phone.
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 11:55am Guido from Cologne:

Christina Vantzou went right into my shopping cart!

Thank you Laure for pointing again to this obviously astonishing artist!
That's what I love WFMU for.
Was afraid of sufferung heavy Keili withdrawal symptoms.
But having Laure and Christina Vantzou instead.

Have a nice WE everyone!
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 11:58am DCE:

Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 12:06pm DCE:

Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 12:06pm DCE:

however, I am not a lawyer
  Fri. 5/9/14 12:07pm Robert:

This is the Laure I meant -- http://archive.today/9kSsA
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 12:08pm DCE:

talk about nostalgia, I saw Slint last night
Avatar Fri. 5/9/14 12:10pm Ike:

@Robert, this Laure is waaaaaay too young to be that Laure unless I'm extremely terribly mistaken.

Hooray for the imminent singularity!
  Fri. 5/9/14 12:14pm sara:
