Oh man, MANTAR was sooooo bloody good. Hanno was a kind chap as well, he gave me a beer before they started their set. Saw the day after and let him know my cassette never arrived via post, so he gave me one of the limited edition metal boxed cassette with goodies. He rules!

Magma was one of my highlights for sure! I never heard of MANTAR prior to Roadburn, but I learned quick! They were great, hence my pic from halfway back in the room, I couldn't elbow myself up any closer to the stage!

Circle were one of the best performances I saw at the fest! They came out to the stage, stripped down, changed their clothes into spandex and warm up gear and proceeded to slay everyone...while laughing. Genius!

Godflesh for me was a running joke with my friends and I. Was supposed to see them 3 or 4 times over a 20 year period and something always happened. They even walked off stage at one point after the second song (because they forgot their water and I don't think they had a road crew) and we all looked at each other like Oh God this really can't be happening but they came right back :)

AAAAK! I was using Spotify for the last song and although I said I was going to play Anciients, I ended up playing Obelyskkh! The playlist has been corrected; look up both bands, it was difficult to choose who to leave OUT of this year's recap! I guess that's a good problem to have! xo
