Mon. 4/7/14 12:13am Bob in DC and/or VA:

Howdy, Therese! Anybody else still doing their taxes?
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 12:16am Andrew Waterloo:

I'll be doing mine soon.. work comes first unfortunately.
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 12:17am BadGuyZero:

I'll probably do my traditional file for an extension on April 14 and then proceed to completely forget to do them until two days remain in the extension.
  Mon. 4/7/14 12:21am Carmichael:

I did them, but I owe. The check goes in the post on April 15th @ 11:59:59.999999 ....
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 12:22am Andrew Waterloo:

I should get money back this year. I never takes me that long anyway.
  Mon. 4/7/14 12:24am Steve-O:

Hey, this song mentions our area, BGZ! Cool, huh? =)

Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 12:25am fleep:

The Turbo Tax icon hovers atop my desktop wallpaper, mocking me. I'm about a third finished and determined to wrap it up tomorrow.
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 12:26am fleep:

Wait, what the -- Bodah? That you?
  Mon. 4/7/14 12:26am KP:

I did manage to lose all my statements and had to request new ones, again
  Mon. 4/7/14 12:27am Steve-O:

Hey, it's Dan Bodah's theme song! =)
  Mon. 4/7/14 12:29am hal:

@Steve-O: They're playing in Denton in June!

Hi!
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 12:37am Droll:

fleep, I left Turbo Tax running, half-finished for so long the auto-update failed. Then I let the icon bounce for a week before fixing it. I finally submitted my payment today.
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 12:38am BadGuyZero:

Didn't you have Perfume Genius on your show a couple of years ago?
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 12:39am BadGuyZero:

Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 12:41am BadGuyZero:

TRIVIA: Fudge Tunnel's Alex Newport is who remastered The Mountain Goats' "All Hail West Texas" reissue.
  Mon. 4/7/14 12:42am nate:

all roads lead to Fudge Tunnel
  Mon. 4/7/14 12:43am KP:

Great story
  Mon. 4/7/14 12:45am nate:

My favorite part of the story was that it involved the band Fight
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 12:45am Jeezy:

I was living in London in the early 90s. The one time I went to see Nirvana, right before Nevermind came out, I got to the door and was informed that i had bought counterfeit tickets from the scalper and was not let in.
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 12:46am tomB:

T, Aren' the subway posters for Mad Men perfection? A silhouetted adman looking at commercial art by Milton Glaser in the midst of his forward 60s transition, with his oversize signature. Except it really is his signature--now! That's pomodernity for you.
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 12:47am Therese:

BGZ- I wasn't aware of the Fudge Tunnel/Mountain Goats connections. but it makes total sense when one considers how big of a metalhead John Darnielle is
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 12:49am BadGuyZero:

I saw Nirvana at The Electric Jungle in Dallas in 1989. Cover was $3 and beer was free.

Kurt punched a friend of mine that was working stage security at the Dallas stop on the "Nevermind" tour [footage of it is on one of the Nirvana home videos]. I videotaped him going after Kurt after the show. Kurt was in a taxi with Dave and Kris; my friend punched one of the taxi's windows out trying to get to Kurt. I learned that Kurt was dead when my phone wouldn't stop ringing one morning. My idiot friends were calling me to let me know I should sell the video footage to "Hard Copy." No way! I gave the tape to the guy that Kurt punched shortly after Kurt died.
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 12:51am Droll:

[Reads BGZ's story] Sigh....
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 12:52am BadGuyZero:

@Therese: Alex also produced a few track on Melvins' "Stag" album. He has an all-analog studio in NYC now. I kind of wish Fudge Tunnel would do some reunion shows. Last time I saw FT they opened for Sepultura. Alex joined Sepultura during their encore to do a few Nailbomb songs.
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 12:53am Therese:

OMG, Nailbomb! I forgot about Nailbomb.
  Mon. 4/7/14 12:56am phat:

The Hunt reminds me of New Model Army
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 1:02am Andrew Waterloo:

Mon. 4/7/14 1:03am Bob in DC and/or VA:

Sure it isn't Prince Edward Island?
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 1:05am BadGuyZero:

Crack a time zone book much? 'Cause it don't sound like you do.
Mon. 4/7/14 1:05am Bob in DC and/or VA:

Antigonish, Nova Scotia, has a newspaper called The Casket. That's a Canadian fact!
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 1:07am Andrew Waterloo:

My favourite Sponge Bob moment is when they end up in Davey Jone's Locker and it's Davey Jones from the Monkees
  Mon. 4/7/14 1:08am Steve-O:

SpongeBob is honestly one of my favorite modern cartoons, of like all time. I was 8 and a half when it first came out. =)
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 1:10am BadGuyZero:

Lux Interior was the voice of the psychobilly singer on an episode of Spongebob. Pantera recorded a song that was used in another episode.
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 1:13am BadGuyZero:

Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 1:45am BadGuyZero:

Hopefully amEdeo is getting food so he doesn't have to lament about being hungry later.
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 2:03am Whooda:

That recording is more hard to start than a Ford in the wintertime.
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 2:17am CDToaster:

"...more hard..." Whooda? Don't you mean, "harder..."?
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 2:19am CDToaster:

Whooda, just playing with you.
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 2:22am Droll:

. o O ( More harder, yes. )
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 2:26am BadGuyZero:

I'm going to have "Temporary Secretary" stuck in my head for at least a day.
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 2:29am Whooda:

Yes CDTony I thought about rewording but thought more likely to be understood the hard way. Only wish I had said, "deisel Ford" instead. :)
Most listeners probably haven't owned a 'naturally aspirated' carburated car anyway and the reference will be lost because of it.
  Mon. 4/7/14 2:32am O zu:

Can you please tell the name of the song playing right now as a background? many thnx
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 2:34am Therese:

The background music is Pling! by Shuggie Otis
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 2:47am BadGuyZero:

Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 2:53am BadGuyZero:

Headphones need a silence button that works like a cough button.
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 2:54am BadGuyZero:

Have you seen the Death Star grill for your backyard?
Avatar Mon. 4/7/14 2:55am Whooda:

DJ Therese, that wasn't a prison-themed restaurant, that was a Hillbilly Buffet in Missouri
  Mon. 4/7/14 2:57am Alison:

I WAS SUMMONED
Mon. 4/7/14 2:58am Bob in DC and/or VA:
