Recording an album that isn't released must be the biggest heartbreak and waste of time of money in the music industry, an industry known for it's expertise at all those. Imagine writing a dozen songs, learning to play them, hiring session musicians, going into the studio to record them, and ending up empty-handed...

...after a few Dave Emory episodes - my conclusion is that it comes down to who or what are your Sources - & how much do you trust them - & why - &, ultimately, how much time & ability do you have to put into becoming your own Investigative Reporter - & effectively becoming your *own 'Source' as much as possible. For most of us, that's very limited. The story about the CIA & Congress ('the reverse of oversight'!) appears to be a real 'mainstream' news one, however; why be surprised intelligence agencies spy on everyone? What was anyone expecting??
Avatar 5:15pm
Droll:

My threshold for "proof" is a bit higher than "read it on the internetz". For instance, I don't believe Facebook would be unaware of a massive hijacking of it's users, if it were occurring. Besides, if they did admit to either being hacked or not being aware they were hacked at such an enormous scale, that wouldn't reflect well on their business. Best to just deny everything.

Hi All ...
Hoping someone can help me find something i heard on WFMU about 15 years ago, but not sure where to ask, except here shortly after Irwin played Joe Frank.

It was a radio drama/performance, very like Joe Frank, in which the main character is obsessed by the band Menudo. Most of the piece is phone calls with his friend, and gradually he gets more obsessed and delusional until the friend will no longer take his calls.

I've checked all Joe Frank resources I can find on the net, and nothing links JF with Menudo.

Does anyone have any idea what I'm looking for? Someone else doing JF like radio dramas that WFMU would have broadcast in the late 90s?
