Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:14pm Cecile:

Hola, Diane and Hearty!

Hearty, the amount of thickness of hair on your head can impact your hat size.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:15pm Cecile:

amount and thickness, der.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:15pm V Priceless:

"Fun Machine, Fun Machine, take me anywhere!" Hey Diane! Hey Hearty! Digging the dynamic of you's guys!
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:16pm Caryn:

That whole head discussion reminded me of how Richard E. Grant once wrote about film stars having unusually big heads. Not as in conceited, but big in size. He theorized that the big head, and consequently big face, lured viewers in and in some cases made emoting easier to put across, thus helping the big-headed achieve star status.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:17pm pierre:

DIANE and PEOPLE
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:17pm Cecile:

yea, I've heard that.
That's why a lot of famous people look like lollipops
  Thu. 3/6/14 12:18pm Ralphine:

I heard that Merv Griffin had the same head-size theory and that he cast Vanna White on Wheel of Fortune because of her big head.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:18pm Cecile:

pierre, the newly minted headbanger!
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:19pm Cecile:

  Thu. 3/6/14 12:21pm tomasz.:

there's been some great drumming on this show so far
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:23pm Cecile:

tomasz, you ain't kidding. I do air-double-kick-bass-drums during this show.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:23pm coe:

Not being up their for marathon has been crushing but not making any kind of appearance for a DK marathon show would have been devastating.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:24pm pierre:

@Cecile : i'm head banging alright !
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:24pm Cecile:

right on, pierre!
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:25pm Danne D:

Hi Diane :)
Hi Hearty :)
Hi Everyone :)

Jealous of the folks in the phone room getting to meet Hearty :D
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:27pm Caryn:

@Cecile: well, the lollipop thing is exacerbated by the need to be more and more thin.

But I wonder if the "big head leads to stardom" thing is not so much about a large face luring viewers in, but evolution. Baby animals of pretty much all species have the same characteristics: large head, large eyes, etc. (large head mainly because of how developed the brain needs to be for the young to survive), and it's thought that through evolution, those characteristics have become universally appealing to all animal species to elicit a mothering, protective instinct and thus keep more young from dying. If we have evolved into a species that is instinctively drawn to big heads, it might account for why people with big heads often rise to stardom. People are drawn to them without even understanding why.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:28pm Cecile:

so, what you're saying is cute overload is evolutionary adaption. :D
  Thu. 3/6/14 12:29pm r i s k y:

HOWDY HEARTY!
HI LADY DIE!
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:30pm Caryn:

@Cecile: yup. Natural selection at work.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:30pm Cecile:

Adorable natural selection! hahaha
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:31pm V Priceless:

risky...shake up them pipsqueeks!
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:31pm Wilson K:

Still but, Hearty, right? He puts the "arty" in "Hearty."
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:32pm Cecile:

my ears are burning!
Diane, which big 4 thrash metal band do you want to hit with a cinder block?
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:34pm Diane Kamikaze:

Megadeth!!!!
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:34pm Mike East:

@Cecile - what's your answer to that question? I don't think I've ever seen you answer it yourself. My guess would be all of them.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:34pm Luna:

Sheesh. Enjoying the on air banter!
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:34pm glenn:

i wonder what hearty thinks of voivod?
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:34pm Caryn:

Hmm, considering how an issue with environmentalism is how people are more willing to donate to protect cute, furry or smiley animals as opposed to insects, fungi, etc., I wonder if some species will learn to adapt quickly enough to try and survive by getting cuter, thus eliciting more protection from humans? (Logically, I doubt it, because I think such trends are not detected by animals, but it would make for an interesting story idea.)
  Thu. 3/6/14 12:35pm r i s k y:

@v priceless, you got it!

PLEDGE OR BE PLUNDERED!
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:35pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

RAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUGH!
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:35pm Cecile:

Actually, it would probably a tie between Megadeth and Anthrax. Mega, because I have a love-hate involvement with Dave M that has now turned to hate. Anthrax because they fired John Bush who I love.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:36pm glenn:

hmmm. raccoons are pretty cute. most people i know hate the little fuckers.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:37pm glenn:

i personally admire their resilience and take no prisoners attitude.

Don't be another greedy filth pig.
Be the solution!
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:37pm Cecile:

but the baby ones!

www.mrwallpaper.com...
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:37pm coe:

personally I say just take the 3 of the 4 dissolve it all into one band and have the work as Metallica's support. Not that I would go but hey it's a great marketing ploy.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:37pm Stevel:

Raccoons are cute until they enter your home.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:38pm coe:

Duane has been found by the way folks.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:38pm Cecile:

No, Slayer has to maintain their integrity.

Cool, coe!
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:38pm V Priceless:

Attention All Lurking Nincompoops! You know you wanna do it! Just make the call NOW!
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:39pm Cheri Pi:

DK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:40pm Diane Kamikaze:

I love John Bush too; only redeeming thing that band had in it's later years. Never warmed up to Joey Belladonna. But Megadeth always acted like wannabes. Anthrax at least owned whatever they thought they were...
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:40pm Cecile:

Pi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:41pm Cheri Pi:

C'IIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:42pm coe:

Hi Cheri!!!!!!
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:42pm glenn:

this is kinda twisted, but i really like it. www.youtube.com...
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:43pm Cecile:

Megadeth had this crazy speedfreak vibe at first, but then they slowed down and then Dave got religion and then blah.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:43pm coe:

Was never really a Megadeth fan. Never got it and then seeing them live later on I REALLY DIDN'T GET IT.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:44pm Cecile:

they also sucked live when I saw them, something I could never ever say about Metallica. They always brought it.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:44pm Cheri Pi:

DK, Mr. CP [the younger] pledged to your show yesterday online :)
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:45pm mariano:

Whoa, how much is the FCC fine for using the F word?
  Thu. 3/6/14 12:45pm r i s k y:

@Coe. If you don't get Megadeth maybe yo should get into Drake...
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:45pm Cecile:

Kinsman Kingo!

Wow it's Hearty White!!! :)!!!

Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:47pm Danne D:

I hope somebody has gotten Hearty a nice Taylor Ham Sandwich for his efforts :)

Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:48pm Cecile:

That sounds like an album title...spreading the disease...:D
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:48pm coe:

What Cheri Pi said at @12:48
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:49pm coe:

@glenn did it make it out on terrestrial or just on line.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:49pm common:

when i was a dj my friend called in and pretended he was from the fcc. scared the shit out of me.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:50pm glenn:

terrestrial.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:51pm Cheri Pi:

Lettuce prey.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:51pm coe:

@risky I can actually say I have seen Drake live as well and to be honest the two shows would be the closest for totally boring and useless.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:51pm glenn:

up here, you can say pretty much what you want on the air, as long as there's a disclaimer beforehand.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:52pm Caryn:

@Stevel: exactly. Like, a honey badger can look cute, but you forget about that once one leaps on your genitals and tries to rip them off your body. Cuteness only goes so far.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:53pm pierre:

honestly, whenever i'm discouraged, down, having doubts on everything, and lost in my thoughts I tune in, or sometime just remember that WFMU is out there…

So it's not only about the music, but the people, listeners extraordinaires, djs, volunteers

Merci to everyone
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:53pm Danne D:

@Glenn if Frangry said:
"We Made Our Goal! Holy Fucking Shit!" there'd be no fine but if she said "Holy Fucking Shit! We Made Our Goal!" there would be? ;o)

Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:55pm Caryn:

@glenn: yep, the miners, not minors.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:55pm Cecile:

or ewoks putting the viet cong to shame in Return of the Jedi.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:55pm coe:

Nice! Harsh Toke not harsh at all
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:56pm Caryn:

@Cecile: well, the ewoks did have dead black eyes like frigging sharks.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:56pm Ike:

@Mariano, they probably wouldn't get caught (see what TonyB said), but if they did, the fine is unpredictable and could possibly change at any time. It's insanity: You can only hope to forecast FCC actions based on past rulings, as they don't set in stone any real rules, but "fuck" is reliably verboten.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:56pm Cecile:

I know, right? Pure evil in a teddy bear body.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:58pm glenn:

awwwwwww. ewoks. so........... just there.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:58pm mariano:

Thanks, Ike and Glenn. Didn't know about the Frangry story, youch!
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:58pm Cheri Pi:

Shit, this Harsh Toke is the JAM
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:58pm coe:

@cecile rabbits I hate rabbits oh god they freak me the funk out fuzzy like balls of death they are.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:59pm Diane Kamikaze:

Harsh Toke! C'mon folks! :)
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:59pm V Priceless:

ohh..this Aardvark stuff is cool! Monster distorted Hammond!
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:59pm Caryn:

@glenn: hey. at least you can say that "Jar-Jar Binks made the Ewoks look like f-ing Shaft".
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 12:59pm Cecile:

I like to eat them and wear them, coe.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:00pm Cecile:

Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:00pm coe:

I love when DK goes all shag carpet and "wood" panel basement on us. See the really cool new vase my brother got it's over on the air hockey table over there.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:00pm glenn:

i refuse to see any of the new star wars movies. i don't want the original three ruined.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:01pm V Priceless:

is Harsh Toke up for grabs?
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:01pm Cecile:

oh, man, Gilligan's Island is gonna be on Canadian TV in five minutes. (That was my shag carpet era)
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:01pm coe:

@v priceless YUP
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:01pm Andrew Waterloo:

This Aardvark makes me think of Atilla.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:02pm Mike East:

@glenn - I was watching what I thought were the originals the other day and was pissed off when I realized it was the "special edition." talk about ruining a classic.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:02pm PKNY:

SÄBBÄTH! \m/
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:02pm Caryn:

@coe: hmm, is your karaoke song Anya's rant about evil bunnies from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"? I feel like that would suit you.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:02pm Uncle Michael:

WFMU is the only broadcast entity for which the annual fund drive makes me love it *more*.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:02pm Chris from DC:

Thu. 3/6/14 1:03pm kath in chicago:

I *really* dug that Aardvark tune. And this Sabbath is a nice consolation for missing the Goddamn Dave Hill Show this week.
Thu. 3/6/14 1:03pm kath in chicago:

Finally getting a good face melting in this week. Awwww yeah!
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:04pm coe:

@caryn I totally forgot about that. No that's just how I feel about the black eyed soul sucking little lepus freaks.
  Thu. 3/6/14 1:06pm ъїιι:

Wow this dude can really play guitar!
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:06pm Caryn:

@Mike: I find it interesting that just as "Empire Strikes Back" is the best of the SW movies, its special edition is also the least sucky one. I suppose mainly because the digital additions were mostly adding in background windows and cleaning up dodgy shadows, whereas in the other two there were constant "comedy" aliens pratfalling in the background or dumb CGI bands ruining things.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:07pm Andrew Waterloo:

@Caryn, The superiority of Empires Strike Back can be directly linked to the lesser involvement of George Lucas.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:07pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Headbangin' Hearty White...I never thought he was a metal head. He should like Voivod.
  Thu. 3/6/14 1:08pm ъїιι:

Anyone can see yoda is a puppet. It's only a matter of time until he's digitized too.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:09pm V Priceless:

New Buzzcocks due this spring!
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:10pm Chris from DC:

Sweet. A tour with luck.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:10pm InBrkly:

You know there are bootleg "despecialized" editions...
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:10pm coe:

I am going to make a statement that I have had my life threatened for on many occasions but I think the Raiders series far outweighs SW's by a mile. Just my opinion.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:11pm Caryn:

@Andrew: agreed. Also, I think the choice of Irvin Kershner as director made all the difference. It wasn't until I saw the making of -documentaries that I realised how many little character tics and details he added into the film through his character direction. Like Chewbacca wailing when Han and Luke were left out on the surface of Hoth when the doors were locked.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:11pm V Priceless:

@ Chris - agreed! They are doing Ink & Iron fest in California in June so far!
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:12pm Mike East:

@Caryn - ugh...those CGI bands. I gave the my VHS tapes of the originals to my nephew years ago..I'm gonna go get them from him so I can show them to my daughter.
  Thu. 3/6/14 1:13pm tomasz.:

i've always wanted to know the complete list of things the FCC prohibits you from saying on radio. yeah, yeah, George Carlin, before anyone says it, but is that comprehensive/up to date?
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:13pm Cecile:

Empire Strikes Back is the best of the three, hands down.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:13pm V Priceless:

Oysterettes!!
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:13pm Caryn:

@Mike: I'm holding on to my VHS copies for dear life.

@coe: I think both are excellent. And both brought low by the later additions to the series (the prequel trilogy for SW, Indy 4 for Raiders).
  Thu. 3/6/14 1:14pm tomasz.:

Glenn, yeah, pretty much the same thing back home. i've heard "shit" in mid-afternoon radio plays even on the August BBC Radio 4, and at night it's even freer.
  Thu. 3/6/14 1:15pm tomasz.:

sorry, i'm about 20 minutes behind the discussion apparently
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:16pm Caryn:

Oh, we're all jumping back and forth here, tomasz.
  Thu. 3/6/14 1:16pm ъїιι:

Fifth Third ville - haha - I caught that - I'm working at a bank right now
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:17pm Cecile:

who have you got for Detroit?
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:17pm Cecile:

Or Green Bay?
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:18pm Andrew Waterloo:

You have to give it to GL though. He's only second to HR Geiger in creating a memorable science fiction universe.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:20pm Diane Kamikaze:

Detroit didn't make the cut. Green Bay= Vinter
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:20pm Cecile:

nice!
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:20pm Ike:

@tomasz@1:13, there is no list! That's what's so insane! See Coe's link far above -- ALL the FCC says is that you can't be "indecent" 6 a.m.-10 p.m. After 10 you can be "indecent" but not "obscene." But what the fuck does that mean? WHO KNOWS? Carlin was mostly just making that shit up, I think.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:21pm mariano:

Wow, haven't heard any Ian Dury in a while. Thanks!
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:23pm Caryn:

@Ike: Carlin was definitely making it up, but at least he had logical criteria he followed in selecting the words, unlike the FCC, who just seem to wing it as the mood strikes them. (Or based on how much publicity a case has.)

Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:30pm Ike:

And while they dick around w/oppressing free speech, the FCC is falling down on the job of going after 90.9 FM pirates interfering with WFMU in Flatbush and Paterson. They've been there for years, fucking up FMU's signal, and FCC enforcement is understaffed, or afraid to go into those neighborhoods, or something. Rewind Radio in Paterson, you moldering scum, go suck a dead dog's anal sacs.

Honestly as someone who donates 500 a year (sharing this just to prove a point not to toot horn) the monthly payment really does not hurt that much especially since I don't really pay out for as much physical product anymore.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:56pm Caryn:

@LCD: I still want to see the original, 5-hour cut of "Dune". Herbert saw it and considered it brilliant. And then the movie was cut into shreds. Where's the damn special edition or Criterion release of that?!?
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 1:57pm map:

I don't think the first hour of Dune is so bad (Lynch's directors cut; characters have no internal monologue and some other changes; and i think it leaves out the introductory scenes). I like it better than SW, although it's a different kind of scifi and I was probably too old when I first saw SW. Of course Lynch's Dune doesn't hold a candle to Alien; Alien got the art team that was slated for Jodorowski's Dune.
  Thu. 3/6/14 1:59pm LovecraftDude888:

Caryn: that's a complex situation, from what I hear. There's that awful extended TV cut on the new DVD of DUNE....but we know what that's like...and I'm not sure the original Lynch 5 hr. cut exists in any form now. Maybe. I hope it turns up and they can restore that and release it at some point. But Universal was not interested in any 5 hr. film.....then or now. That was just one problem with it

Anybody see the Sci Fi channel's Frank Herbert's Dune. I actually own it but have not hunkered down to watch it.
Looking forward to Jodorowsky's Dune.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 2:01pm Caryn:

I still have a soft spot for Dune. I always watch it when it's on tv, it's just entertaining. The new tv series version was just boring and disappointing. I remember the people making it talking about how they wanted to fix some of the problems the Lynch one had, like Kyle MacLachlan being way too old to play a 15-year-old, and then their Paul Atreides looked like a 30-year-old gym buff. WTH!?!
  Thu. 3/6/14 2:02pm tomasz.:

Whitey, just let Hearty know about yr comment, he's gone off somewhere!
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 2:03pm Mike East:

I kinda like the TV mini series of Dune...though I didn't read the books, so I couldn't complain about what they might have changed or skipped.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 2:05pm common:

i read dune when the flick came out. i convinced my friend to go see it and when they handed us pages of definitions at the theater, my friend refused. I went through with it. love david lynch, though.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 2:05pm Whitey:

tomassz, 1st rule of Hearty: do not let him wander off.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 2:06pm Caryn:

Another alternative version I'd like to see is "Breakfast Club". John Hughes kept the original cut in his safe at home, and didn't want it released, so it probably never will be, but I'm just curious. Apparently a way worse movie, but some of the cut music stuff sounds brilliant, and some of the cut stuff (like an entire subplot including fantasy musical sequences) just sounds interesting, if odd. And I'd like to see some of the behind-the-scenes stuff. I mean, John Cusack narrowly lost the role of Bender. I want to see those audition tapes, if they exist.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 2:08pm Caryn:

@Mike East: I appreciated that they tried to convey more of the complex political and religious plotting that are so central to the books, and some of the production design was decent, but otherwise the tv series was... lacking. With all its faults, the Lynch version has an off-kilter charm and I think some genius casting choices.

  Thu. 3/6/14 2:09pm LovecraftDude888:

ha a director's cut Breakfast Club...hadn't heard of that. As for the DUNE miniseries'....didn't like the main one at all...Dune Messiah was ok in spots. I was just getting seriously into Herbert when the movie came along....caught up with his other novels then too. Still a huge fan of the DUNE film but of course it's not great, a mess but a fun mess.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 2:10pm mariano:

I like Dune, but I'm a big Lynch fan, so I tend to be favorably impressed by what he does. It's such a mess in a lot of ways: like, seriously, Toto for the soundtrack? But it has some real art film elements from some of Lynch's early work. The scene where the guild navigator is folding space is visually very much like some of his early shorts.
  Thu. 3/6/14 2:10pm LovecraftDude888:

you know yer in trouble at a movie when they hand you a cheat booklet! Even with LotR they don't do that
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 2:10pm coe:

another good alternative which I have seen is Kill Bill the whole Bloody affair which is the Cannes version and has only been screened in US like 6 times.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 2:11pm Caryn:

@coe: I forget, is that the version they released in Japan, or was that yet another version?
  Thu. 3/6/14 2:11pm LovecraftDude888:

supposedly Cameron ripped off some of the Jesus INcident books of Frank's for Avatar.....it's possibly true. or was inspired a lot by those books.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 2:14pm Caryn:

I hope the original cut of Dune turns up miraculously, like the original cut of The Wicker Man did. That's a brilliant film. The less said about the Nicolas Cage version, the better. (Although that freakout bee scene is hilarious.)
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 2:14pm mariano:

It's funny Dune came up, because right before, I was reading the wiki for guild navigators. All because I saw a picture of Rush Limbaugh, and couldn't decide if he was more of a Baron Harkonnen or the guild navigator in the tank.

Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 2:21pm Caryn:

@coe: So its fate is essentially the same as that of Gilliam's Don Quijote movie?
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 2:21pm mariano:

@Caryn and @LD888: Thing is, Rabban was a warrior, and Rush is a draft dodger who probably couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag (and I love Paul Smith, the actor who played Rabban, and wouldn't want to insult him). Rabban would be like that Staten Island congressman who threatened to throw the reporter off the balcony. Except Rabban would have done it, of course.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 2:21pm coe:

@caryn it's close. The Japanese version is based on that. but there a few almost unnoticeable differences. The WBA is the one that QT was actually in the room for cutting.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 2:22pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Diggeth Krallice.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 2:23pm Caryn:

@mariano: true. I think of him more as a Rabban than the Baron simply because I think he lacks the intelligence of the Baron, but has the same cruelty and problems with women (and humans in general). Plus, he's essentially being used as a political pawn by higher-ups, just like Rush is happy doing the bidding of the Kochs and such.

Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 2:39pm Caryn:

I hate that it's really difficult nowadays to get a version of "Animal House" with the original music. It really takes you out of the movie. I got the dvd just for the extras, but I had to trawl tv showings to find a showing that had the original music intact. I burned that onto a dvd.
Avatar Thu. 3/6/14 2:40pm Mike East:
