Hei! @Mauri! So when you talk about skiing in the mornings, you mean cross-country, not downhill?

Mornin' Bill 'n sensation seekers everywhere.

Not sure if you can see these pictures but it is grim.

Reminds me of the floods in Louisiana after Katrina. Most of new Orleans is built in a bowl isn't it?
Avatar    Sat. 2/8/14 3:26am Bill Mac:

@P-90 Heh - yeah, funny til you're standing waist deep in it yourself... whatsup Jay! Congrats on the 'new' digs.

You can cheat nature but only for so long. Never known such a long spell of rain and there is more to come today.
Avatar    Sat. 2/8/14 3:29am Brian in UK:

Jay, sounds like progress.
  Sat. 2/8/14 3:29am P-90:

@Bill: that was "haha" for "...thighs"
Yeah, Nawlins is mostly lowlands, beneath sea level, like the Netherlands. The sad story apparently that the big oil companies sucked a lot of oil out of there and parts of the state sank even lower; and the towns, cities, the people, the economy of that state, saw very very little of the $ from all that oil...
  Sat. 2/8/14 3:29am marmalade kitty:

..thats good bed music

still got a long way to go Bill c heating not online yet and replacing windows in two weeks hope they do them on a nor raining day .. putting stuff back in kitchen and hopefuly get more space in the living room

@P-90 Too bad - I'd love to go back there for a few dyas - good memories from our 90s visit.
  Sat. 2/8/14 3:33am marmalade kitty:

I've been there, Jay, it's like camping out in your own house.. :)
Avatar    Sat. 2/8/14 3:35am Jay/London:

@ Brian We have sun and it's not raining @ mk yes they should have put us up in hotels for the two weeks
Avatar    Sat. 2/8/14 3:37am Looms:

@Brian: february doesn't look good. Big damages in Brittany too: since december, we've had the same coastal erosion than in the last 30 years.
  Sat. 2/8/14 3:39am P-90:

I was down there for the last Mardi Gras before Katrina. I got to "see the Zulu King," just like the song says, still have some coins he tossed me. The "friends of friends"' house were I stayed was badly flooded a year later. I haven't been back either
Avatar    Sat. 2/8/14 3:43am Jay/London:

are you planing to play brother JT this morning Bill ?
  Sat. 2/8/14 3:44am P-90:

@Brian and Looms: I'm very sorry to see this. These are global warming effects, unfortunately. Don't let anyone tell you their not. Defensive measures are possible, they've done an incredible job in the Netherlands for centuries, but the will has to be there at the government level, there's the rub
  Sat. 2/8/14 3:46am P-90:

@Looms: that coastal erosion is especially worrying because it can't be repaired like other kinds of damage, it's forever
Avatar    Sat. 2/8/14 3:48am Looms:

@P-90: this is officially the result of global warming here.

  Sat. 2/8/14 4:47am P-90:

My Friends and I grew up idolizing Tommy B., and we were still at a tender-enough age that his death really shook us up. You know how that goes, he was like a Buddy Holly in our little generation
Avatar    Sat. 2/8/14 4:48am Stanley:

Hey Bill, everyone.
Bit of late one last night.
Avatar    Sat. 2/8/14 4:49am Brian in UK:

  Sat. 2/8/14 4:55am marmalade kitty:

Brian, beware of seats!
Avatar    Sat. 2/8/14 4:55am Stanley:

@ mk - a gallon of tea, a long walk in the cold followed by a fry up.
That should do it (and a couple of paras)
Avatar    Sat. 2/8/14 4:56am Bill Mac:

Seats are a good thing at this stage of the game but it's usually at the expense of a large space.
Avatar    Sat. 2/8/14 4:56am Bill Mac:

What up Jamesie!
Avatar    Sat. 2/8/14 4:56am Jay/London:

prince played Camden last week the place held 300 people my friend got in but I heard about it to late to go

Avatar    Sat. 2/8/14 5:00am Stanley:

Went to an pro-independence gig. Scottish cultcha, don't you know.
That and Barney's beer made, literally, next door to the venue. They are planning a direct feed from the brewery to the bar soon.
  Sat. 2/8/14 5:01am marmalade kitty:

A particularly jobs-worth venue steward ordered us to sit down! we were right at the back, hardly obscuring anyones view.. stuffy snobby venue!

Avatar    Sat. 2/8/14 5:15am Bill Mac:

@MK Dylan show last year. A wonder that most folks that were there paid top $$$ to see a guy that can't even sing anymore. The security people wouldn't let anyone stop in the aisle to watch a minute.
Avatar    Sat. 2/8/14 5:15am Stanley:

@mk - one of the best gigs I went to was Salif Keita - who pulled people up on to the stage. Yours truly didn't need asking twice.

@Stanley Only way I heard of 'the numbers' was from a George Carlin routine. It's where guys would tell mother jokes sometimes in rhyme - to wit: "Have you heard about the numbers well the numbers is a game but the way I 'F' your mother is a god damn shame'...
