Good morning Mike, hi Fred
Avatar 6:06am
Mike VL:

Fred! So great to see you, especially after your comments last week. Didn't know I'd be on, but here I am. Thanks for saying hi. -- Hi Yair...long time.

Hi Yair! Stan doesn't keep a playlist, but I heard him play the entire Spheres and Constellations on Friday
Avatar 6:15am
Yair Yona:

Wow! that's amazing!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:16am
Ken From Hyde Park:

I like Stan's shows a lot, but I'm usually asleep at that time of day.
Avatar 6:23am
Yair Yona:

Stan has an amazing show, I usually listen to it on the way to the market. choosing tomatos while listening to his brain digging music

I only saw Daniel Higgs once, but it was well worth it. He's one of a kind

lucas:

hello everyone!!
Avatar 6:43am
Mike VL:

Hi Lucas and Ken. Thanks for stopping by
Avatar 6:44am
Yair Yona:

Daniel is amazing. I played with him in Jerusalem, one of the nicest people I've met. He was sitting throughout my entire show with his eyes shut, nodding his head in concentration. It was worth it just playing for him especially.
Avatar 6:48am
Mike VL:

Yair--that's amazing. Didn't know that. He was supposed to play my show a few years back, but injured his hand. I was very sad.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:49am
fred:

When I saw him, Daniel Higgs had met two Indian or Pakistani musicians in the UK and decided to bring them along for the rest of his tour. It didn't always work out, but when it did it was really great. And genuine, you could tell he was happy to have met these guys

@fred: rEady for sonic protest (even if is in april)?. I hope there will be a kind of miracle and I can be there
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:58am
fred:

@Lucas: I got the early flier last week, just the names, no details yet. Good stuff for sure, but there are a bit too many that I've seen before. I'll get a pass anyway and see almost everything (I'll miss one or two shows because I already have tickets for dance shows)
Avatar 7:01am
Lucas:

@fred: yes that festival is always quality!

Yes, that track is a monster.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:58am

@Lucas: I'd trade about half of the Sonic Protest lineup for Chris Forsyth
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:00am

Sem Chumbo:

Hiya, Mike. Lurking, and loving this morning's surprise DJ and picks. Hearing so much new-to-me. Thanks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:22am
fred:

A few years ago, at the end of a Acid Mothers Temple set, Kawabata Makoto smashed his guitar on the floor and threw the pieces in the crowd. He got another one, and a few minutes later, he did the same. Then a third. I was on the side of the stage and could see he had yet another spare ready for smashing. That was a lot of fun
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:22am
Stanley:

Me too!
Is this still the Mani Neumeier & Kawabata Makato piece,
Its really good.
Avatar 8:22am

Sem-Great to hear, thanks. Love to hear from the lurkers!

New stars for my favs list :)! Great track this Mushi :)! Great episode so far!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:26am
fred:

@Mike VL: that just means you have to do more fill-ins. I can't be selfish enough to wish you have another full-time slot, since it would mean bad news in your career. But I'm tempted

@RRN63: the first was a tired cliché, the second made it fun, then it was just hilariously genius. Wow, cool lineup there
Avatar 8:30am
Mike VL:

Thanks Fred, If this go well work-wise, I'll have the luxury and time to do a full-time slot slot again. Thanks for the kind words, though
