---But the Pee-Wee closing theme was different. I don't 'member if it was a Mark B. original. When he's hired to do music for movies/tv/etc. he typically composes a theme and selects existing music for other bits on the show. Good Question about the closing

THE NEW HOPE, great band name, and makes sense for 1969. (yes, "a bottle, yr memory and me" is a great line - it immed'ly makes me think of song "he's got you". what's the line, "i've got your picture, he's got you" i think.)

Do people who go to burlesque strip shows actually get offended? I'm guessing burlesque today is like something more for the ladies? I don't think dudes go to strip clubs and get huffy over dance routines.

In this particular troupe. Not all!

A lot of people have modern clothes and modern music.
And other people use the old style to satirize the present time.

Also, there can be a lot of great singers and acrobats in burlesque. Not here.

Beautiful show Joe!
think I enjoyed the last hour most.
CU next week.

(And yes, I dig JUNGLE EXOTICA and all that vintage burlesque stuff.)

Sujmpin. It's not the nudity. It's the crappy ethnic jokes that even my earthy 90 year old in-laws would be embarassed to tell.

I get it -- not the dancing, the comedy that went with it. Yow.

I like the music. I like the dancing (if it's not just ass-wiggling). I like the sets. I like the corny MCs. But a lot of the humor if not dodgy, is outright offensive.
