Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 6:02am Guido (Cologne):

Good Morning Meghan!
Hello to the rest of the world!
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 6:03am Matt from Springfield:

Namibia is free!
It's all real, it's all here, it's all alive!

Morning Meghan! What a journey it's been, finally reaching the last part of Africa. Amazing how you played all the different styles of the vast continent!
  Thu. 12/12/13 6:03am P-90:

oooooh...that poster's like a Modigliani-Klimt hybrid
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 6:05am Matt from Springfield:

Morning Dave B, Guido and hello again P-90!
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 6:06am Meghan:

Good morning all! Little scatter brained this morning.... forgive me. Trying to get my ducks all lined up.....
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 6:09am Meghan:

hmmmmmm..... why is that only coming out of one speaker...... ugh
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 6:10am Spatulator (formerly elwyn5150):

I just got home! Fruitcup, please!
  Thu. 12/12/13 6:11am P-90:

And a very Swahili good morning to all. Meghan: feel no fret, you got past the "Non-Disney Madagascar image" obstacle last week, it's all downhill from here.
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 6:11am Guido (Cologne):

Not only your speaker!
Here as well!
Not so nice on headphones.
PAN-KNOB somewhere?
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 6:11am Guido (Cologne):

  Thu. 12/12/13 6:14am Andrew:

Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 6:14am Meghan:

stupid cords.....
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 6:15am Matt from Springfield:

I know, this one sounds like Brit/Aus rock!

"One of the country's most durable rock bands is Bedrock (The Band In The Sand). Formed in 1994 in Oranjemund, the band has released four albums of original material over the years: Recovery (2001), So, Where's The Party? (2003), Simplicity (2008) and Desert Rock (2010). They describe their sound as Desert Rock, an eclectic mix of styles from 70's rock, blues, pop and folk. A feature of their compositions is the subtle thread of humour which underpins most of their work. The opening song of their debut album, Rock 'n' Roll, was voted by the South African Rock Digest as one of the Top 30 South African songs of 2003. It was also their first song to gain radio play. Despite numerous personnel changes over the years the band continues to thrive, playing regular gigs in and around Oranjemund."
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 6:16am Matt from Springfield:

Namibia may someday give us a run for our money!
  Thu. 12/12/13 6:17am P-90:

I'm so tired. I got up early, skated for 2 x 2 hours and wore a stormtrooper costume for 3 hours for Special Children's Christmas party.

My brain is too tired to comment much. :-(

  Thu. 12/12/13 7:01am Andrew:

aw, super connie qantas poster ^_^
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 7:02am Chuck:

What I want to know is why so many African posters have people with AK47s in them?
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 7:03am Dave B:

its the weapon of choice!
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 7:03am Meghan:

sadly so many people have them over there defending or fighting....
  Thu. 12/12/13 7:03am Andrew:

oh, love this clock poster too!

and the music ^_^

cos AK-47s are a basic weapon for much of the world.
and africa has had a lot of fighting.
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 7:05am Chuck:

Wouldn't think violence is something you'd want to advertise...
  Thu. 12/12/13 7:06am GUMBY:

Thank you so much for these great African programs Meghan.
  Thu. 12/12/13 7:07am Andrew:

'come to africa! we won't shoot you...probably'

Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 7:07am Chuck:

This is so 80s sounding!

Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 7:15am Guido (Cologne):

Awesome posters!
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 7:19am fred von helsing:

Finland makes an AK-47 derivative that is, it goes without saying, superior to the original
  Thu. 12/12/13 7:21am P-90:

"Land of sunshine and aparth-- um, adventure"
  Thu. 12/12/13 7:22am Andrew:

wow O_O
80s goth! Gathering
No Friends of Harry, more 80s rock

You can tell how western influenced South Africa is by them music
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 7:23am Dave B:

the lancaster band poster is 240 x 410. Not too big, not too small. If most other images are roughly the same aspect ration, that could be your norm. just add

height="410" width="240"

at the end of your ing src tag, keeping it inside the angled bracket
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 7:23am Meghan:

I told you that this show was going to be the most diverse!
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 7:24am fred von helsing:

Mandela is dead, and all the smarmy hypocritical apartheid apologists of yesteryear slither out of the woodwork to praise him and bask in the reflected light
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 7:28am Dave B:

NICE - I was waiting for Spoek.

VOLUME UP!
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 7:28am fred von helsing:

hmm actually the live at wfmu version is better !
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 7:28am Meghan:

ha! I just did the same here! it's going to be blasting by the end of this set.....
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 7:28am Guido (Cologne):

From when is all this post-punk/goth/wave-stuff?
Sounds linke UK late 70ies.
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 7:29am fred von helsing:

@daveB actually you have to set the Control to -1
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 7:29am Dave B:

the video for this kicks ass
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 7:29am Meghan:

It was late 70's early 80's....
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 7:29am Meghan:

Good Qu! Dunno if they are tubeless. My bike racing background (DH) has kept me away from tubeless like the plague...I am certain that those dudes went through several sets of wheels while filming. I also love that they all use flat pedals!

@daveB possibly ! I've tried a couple tho and they didn't make me want to cut off my ear or anything - methinks they've been neutered, deracinated, de-fun-ified
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 8:47am Dave B:

The fake signer needs to watch this:

www.buzzfeed.com...
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 8:47am Jim Devoid:

re: flat pedals - most trials riders (that's really what these blokes are) all use flats. You bunny hop using your whole body on flats & therefore generate more power & control.
Avatar Thu. 12/12/13 8:48am Dave B:

off to the salt mines! See y'all next week!
  Thu. 12/12/13 8:50am Andrew:
