Favoriting Brian Turner: Playlist from November 5, 2013 Favoriting

Order and disorder in a freeform haze of terribly-played guitars, shorted-out electronics, found audio detritus, strange sounds from strange lands all around. Psych-punk-junk, collage, even pop. Lots of in-studio live performances to boot.

My ex-wife and I turned Autechre into an adjective and that tradition carries on to this day in my house. Playing Autechre is simply forbidden in our home.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57pm
fred:

OK, here's mine, much lighter: I once woke after surgery with the TV on and blaring. Cartoons first, then the French version of American Idol. Nothing horrible at first, but then they started singing. Seeing me standing on the bed trying to reach the off button with a pen while restrained by the IV drip, a nurse said I was awake enough to be released. Bonus track: once I got home I watched the Jandek DVD.
