I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

Hey Sem Chumbo, everyone in NS is sickeningly nice. Also, you need a mad scientist to build you a weather-controlling machine to make it stop fucking raining so much. :P

Ike: we're really not that nice, it is just that our rivers and lakes are rich in lithium and the milk of human kindness. And about the weather: we are so relaxed we just cannot get get motivated to do our "Stop raining" dance. Sorry, really sorry, about that.

I've been to Stormy Records btw, the midwest runs thick.

Stefica, whenever it stopped raining, it was beautiful. Not knowing much about Peggy's Cove, for some reason I expected it to be a tourist trap full of strip malls, but instead it was a weird little paradise of bizarre rock formations and strange purple vegetation.

how long were you up there, Ike?
Avatar    Fri. 10/11/13 1:13pm tim from champaign:

I haven't gone rekkid hunting in Detroit for close to 3 years. Need to hit up Peoples, Stormy and UHF in Royal Oak one of these days. Usually, when I'm in that neck of the woods my focus has been getting all messed up on Lebanese, Ethiopian and Greek food. And Pizza. And Motor City Brewing.
Avatar    Fri. 10/11/13 1:14pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

CP! Didn't recognize you for a second there. That avatar needs more Bailey Quarters; one Druid's feeble opinion.

Avatar    Fri. 10/11/13 1:25pm Cecile:

Brian, ITA. Great middle eastern food.
The non-political cooks from the old Le Shish now run Charlie's Mediterranean Restaurant in Pittsfield Township. Their pita/hummus/grapeleaves wrap is so good that my grapeleaf hating husband and I were fighting over the last bites.

Stormy Records! Back in the day, I gorged myself at LeShish, and waddled over there. There was also a kickass coffeehouse that had Turkish coffee.
Avatar    Fri. 10/11/13 1:27pm Cecile:

I saw the Traffic Jam and Snug on FoodTV, those were some of the hugest portions I had ever seen in a non-buffet restaurant.

Seriously tho- Cecile, Radish Rosette is the greatest band name ever...
Avatar    Fri. 10/11/13 1:37pm Cecile:

Tim, you might want to check out La Pita in Dearborn. The chef was on FoodTV making a Lebanese dish I had never heard of - malamiekh? - which is a chicken, rice and rehydrated mallow leaf stew. It looked yummy.
Avatar    Fri. 10/11/13 1:37pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

...and "radish" also doubles as a somewhat-enthusiastic one-word record review.
Avatar    Fri. 10/11/13 1:38pm Cecile:

Pi, you have to start it.
Or we have to do another fake album cover.
Avatar    Fri. 10/11/13 1:38pm Ike:

More photos just added.

Sadly, Cape Breton Island was raining buckets w/poor visibility, and I think we were served lobster from 1957. Should've just eaten crackers and peanut butter there.
Avatar    Fri. 10/11/13 1:39pm βrian:

This is totally radicchio, dude.
Avatar    Fri. 10/11/13 1:40pm Snortley:

1957 was a bad year for lobster?
Avatar    Fri. 10/11/13 1:40pm βrian:

Or you should have gone in 1957.
Avatar    Fri. 10/11/13 1:43pm Cecile:

this is an amazing piece.
Avatar    Fri. 10/11/13 1:44pm WKR-CP in Cincinnati:

Like this Radish we're listening to right now for example...
Avatar    Fri. 10/11/13 1:45pm Ike:

The restaurant (in Baddeck) looked straight out of 1957 too, but not in a fun way. Vaguely fancy but not charming. Time-space continuum must have been disrupted.
Avatar    Fri. 10/11/13 1:45pm Chris from DC:

Yeah, big Fursaxa fan.
Avatar    Fri. 10/11/13 1:45pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

This was my Fursaxa gateway pill, several years ago. Discogs says 2003, which sounds about right.
