Movie has a lot of fast editing. It's a nightmare for 90 minutes. Don't watch it if you're at all sensitive! Not like Pi!

I need to see Pi again. Soundtrack? I don't remember it. It is good?

Didn't see pi either, but thansk for the little review.
Real fast editing (relative, I know) is just something I do not enjoy.

most of pi's soundtrack is ambient and drum & bass from the late 90s, but there are a few clint mansell tracks on the track, as well.

OK, what's the name of the actress who plays Pacino's wife in Serpico?
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 2:56pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

WTF happens when you hold up your phone with that identifying app when my show is playing?
I need to make a collage ID app! And then burn it.
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 3:00pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Wow, IMDB gives Claire Danes only third billing in My So-Called Life.

Program meaning Ken's Last Ever, not this episode. You can ALSO favorite this episode to the right of the date at the top.
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 3:10pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

  Wed. 10/2/13 3:26pm possibilitywaves:

now imagining hand and paw and otherwise prints in many hues on a hanging tapestry, from every someone that has been part of the show from the beginning to now. they would be layered : )

Hi bye! Gotta hit a meeting! Keep on truckin'!
  Wed. 10/2/13 3:28pm possibilitywaves:

hmm, human "hands" and "feet" are definitely also paws!

Thank you Davee, Kevin From Bay Ridge, Bliss, Listen James from Westwood, Rich from Washington, Carmichael, ranjit, Matt from Springfield, duke, niether, Ike, northguineahills, and possibilitywaves for checking in!
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 3:36pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

It's so quiet without rev rabbit and pacific standard simon. Except for the 56 things playing.
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 3:43pm steve:

<here but silent>
  Wed. 10/2/13 3:44pm possibilitywaves:

it is-was-is a very quilty show leading to more quiet than words to inscribe! it is very much like being woven inside a moving quilt and being able to move gradually as a fabric-being throughout the multidimensional expanse.
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 3:45pm Rich in Washington:

I love that You Have Nowhere to Go show.
It made me watch THX again after many years and got me sort of obsessed with it for a while. Especially the wonderful Lalo Schifrin music and Walter Murch's immersive sound design.
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 3:47pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

I have not dared to over-watch THX-1138. It's one of my all-time favorite films ever.
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 3:48pm Carmichael:

OK Kenzo, back from enchilada land. Dialed in for the last 15 minutes or 700 songs, whichever comes first.
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 3:48pm duke:

Thanks for programming the new environment.
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 3:49pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Coming up in four minutes: BONUS CONTENT.

2012 will end, and we will be temporarily transported to a super-fast edit of "Children's Television Voteshop", originally from 2004, edited for a Frank O'Toole premium in 2007, and brought t oyou in...3 minutes!
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 3:50pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

OH FUCK playlisting Children's Television Voteshop is going to be even harder than this one. Or maybe not. I just don't remember 2004 very well today.
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 3:50pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Hi Steve and Carmichael!
Avatar Wed. 10/2/13 3:50pm Bliss:

Do any of you have one movie that is your favorite?
I don't.
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 3:52pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

That's it for "My So-Called Mind!" Now, "Children's Television Voteshop!"
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 3:54pm Carmichael:

Apocalypse Now, THX1138, Heathers, Andromeda Strain, 3 Days of the Condor, The Bicycle Thief, and every other movie made between 1936 and 1980.
Avatar Wed. 10/2/13 3:56pm northguineahills:

Tag! here again, leaving again!
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 3:57pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Hey, it's a sample from Pi!
Avatar Wed. 10/2/13 3:57pm Bliss:

That Mary Tyler Moore show song is hard to hear due to memories.
Avatar Wed. 10/2/13 3:58pm Bliss:

That wasn't Rhoda, was it?
I am pretty sure it was Mary's show song.
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 3:58pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Wow, it's over! Thanks and bye, love to all, see you next week, 2-4pm ET! Send me email! Use podcast! lastever.org...
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 3:59pm Matt from Springfield:

Hurray for samples! Thanks Kenzo, this was great!
Avatar Wed. 10/2/13 3:59pm northguineahills:

Weird as I work w/ a bunch of retired NYPD officers. Oh, I have to go to court tomorrow morning for being cuffed at a July 4th party in Bed-Stuy for trespassing, since the landlord didn't have a rooftop accesss permit, even thought there was a wooden deck and multiple bbq grills on the roof. Ok, bye, be back soon!
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 3:59pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Any post-show comments? Now
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 3:59pm Rich in Washington:

bye bye, Kenzo!
Thanks for all of it!
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 3:59pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

There was Rhoda and Mary Tyler Moore, both.
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 4:00pm Rich in Washington:

I forgot how high-tech Rhoda's theme song was compared to Mary's
Avatar Wed. 10/2/13 4:00pm Bliss:

That song is from Mary's show though, not Rhoda's.
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 4:01pm Rich in Washington:

Phyllis' theme was really antiquated sounding.
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 4:01pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

ngh, sorry for you being put through the ringer! Rich, thanks to you! And Matt! And Bliss! And possibilitywaves for being there and being in it! And all the samples I didn't get to identify. And everything else.
Avatar Wed. 10/2/13 4:01pm Bliss:

Oh, I see what you mean.
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 4:01pm Matt from Springfield:

I highly approve of after show, AND before show comments!
More of both, please!!
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 4:02pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Well, I'm never going to be available for before show comments. But I can turn them on if it turns you on.
Avatar Wed. 10/2/13 4:02pm Bliss:

Thanks Kenzo.
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 4:02pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Wow, I missed about 20 samples in that last 6-minute barrage. Oh well.
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 4:03pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Children's Television Voteshop is NOT going to be in the archive, but you can hear that full-length show at lastever.org... . It's different from what I'd make today.
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 4:04pm Matt from Springfield:

I like before show comments in general...you don't have to, but GTDR fans always seem to find shows that have yet to start with active comments, and participate.
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 4:06pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Considering that Amanda's show is already on GTDR right before mine.... That means there are already two boards open (Duane and Amanda). Maybe three is too many!
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 4:07pm Matt from Springfield:

True, Amanda's can be responsible for before-show comments of this 4 hour "block" of live programming, and this show for after-block comments.
Avatar Wed. 10/2/13 4:07pm Bliss:

Would you say your shows have more space now?
It struck me that way comparing that small 2004 sample to later stuff.
More nuance now too, perhaps?
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 4:10pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Bliss: That was also a 6-minute edit of a long show. I rarely do edits (it was commissioned for a compilation). So, a lot of space that was there got sucked out!

I think 2004 was in a very focused period. I did almost NOTHING else but work on those shows (2003-2005). And, half of them were constrained to 30-minute blocks; so, I had to accomplish a lot in a little space.
  Wed. 10/2/13 4:10pm possibilitywaves:

Thank you endlessly Ken and everyone in this quilt of minds and hearts! it is astonishing to think from the end of last year to now; i somehow wished to form a 64-hour-day calendar just a few days before 2013 began. "today" is part of the 103rd day of the year using this calendar.
Avatar    Wed. 10/2/13 4:15pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

OK, I'm off to seek worldly sustenance. Archive to be posted tomorrow or Friday.
