Well howdy, saddle tramp. Have a set here, get'cherself a plate of these beans and listen to the old song about the lonesome wind. Um, wait ...
Avatar 2:18pm
Carmichael:

And you know what kind of wind blew around that bean-filled campfire ...

Uhh, Thanks? Good thing this isnt the Star Ship Enterprise.

Talking about the engineering -- not the flawless musical selections, of course.

Yes I know. I think the cruise control needs servicing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:41pm

Ted needs to have a sit-down with his engineer.

No auto-tune or Neve desks in those days. More like cardboard box drums and a portable tape deck.

Bill Coday! Saw him live with Denise LaSalle at South X Southwest in Austin TX, probably late '90s. Bill was great -- pretty sure he sang "Get Your Lie Straight!" Sadly, he died of a massive stroke in 2008.

Been enjoying the tunes!

Denise LaSalle is still around? Wow, impressive.

How have I yet to fave WFMU's favorite summer song?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:38pm
Uncle Michael:

HOW?!
Avatar 4:02pm
Parq:

Hmm. I remember that, back in the early 70s, the conventional wisdom was that the Self Portrait albums sucked. Ted's shows remind me not to trust conventional wisdom.

Really enjoyed the whole mess today, Ted. Thanks!

Ted, I am so sorry I was not able to be here today for your fill-in. You are right up there in my top 5 DJs, and I'm STILL pissed-off about your departure from Ichiban. I'll be playing the archive for all the little bakery gnomes at work. Cheers!

Sheesh, how sorry I am to have missed this show -- a great lookin' list of music, TB!
