Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 6:53am maestroso:

G'morning! My first experience with Noise and Syrup. This Duet is great.
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 7:30am jeff-m:

well, welcome aboard (a little late with this reply )
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 7:37am fred:

Good morning Jeff. It's always a pleasure to hear your show, though the reason makes it bittersweet today.
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 7:40am jeff-m:

Morning Fred. Figured I'd chased everyone away :)

Yeah, I feel really bad for her. Bosco was a sweet dog. She'll be back next week.
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 7:43am duke:

Something happened to Bosco? My sympathies to Meghan.
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 7:43am fred:

Jeff, it took half the show, but you seem to have finally chased my boss away. Now I can listen
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 7:47am jeff-m:

yeah Duke, Bosco is no more.

(feels cold to say it that way, but i don't want to put words in Meghan's mouth- or something like that... )
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 7:49am BDR:

What a nice surprise. Excellent to hear your show as always.
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 7:50am duke:

I'm always glad to hear Jeff's show but not under these circumstances
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 7:58am duke:

Sorry to miss Heroin In Tahiti. Fabio played some of their stuff last week. It was pretty interesting.
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 8:00am jeff-m:

unfamiliar to me, but was really great. going to try and pick the record up if i remember
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 8:09am EzSezz:

Probably Warsaw, Poland. They've had a fall contemporary music festival for decades.
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 8:15am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Condolences to Meghan regarding the legendary dawgie Bosco.

- Interesting & atmospheric show of stuff I'm sure to hear nowhere else - suits my disposition this morning.
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 8:16am Spatulator (formerly elwyn5150):

Hey everyone!
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 8:19am jeff-m:

Sounds good to me EzSezz. Doesn't say, but I'm guessing it would specify VT if if that was the case.
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 8:20am Lyme Regis:

it's afternoon now, just locked in, from the jurassic coast, UK, hello all
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 8:21am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Dave Mandl discussed this ChrisWatson on his program - the cost of the microphones, the time he spent in the field & how unprecedented it is - which one might not consider if just listening & thinking 'nice birds' or something...
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 8:21am jeff-m:

... such a habit to say "morning" while i'm making stuff up :)
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 8:24am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...I kinda like colloquialisms from a station - the temperature in N'Orleans from WWOZ par example
- but FMU has a sort-of realtime Community thing going on...
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 8:25am Sem Chumbo:

I am grateful to hear many pieces this morning for the first time otherwise certainly missed. Thanks to JM, and FMU.
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 8:25am jeff-m:

well, Chris Watson works for the documentary "section" of the BBC and has been doing professional soundwork for a long time so the sticker shock was slow probably.

Now that I'm looking at the booklet I remember it's an attempt to capture a 7th century landscape or something. Unfortunately we won't get that far into the CD.
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 8:27am jeff-m:

Thank you Sem. That's very nice of you to say. Glad you're having fun
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 8:29am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- well Lindesfarne was a monastery / community (?) legendary for its' exalted mysticism...
  Thu. 8/22/13 8:33am doca:

hi jeff, thanks for the adventurous tunes and sounds to make waking up early worth it. now there's lots of previously unknown music to look after.
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 8:37am Polk Biggins:

Guten morgen, all! I'm new to Noise and Syrup as well as Listener Comments. Glad to be here.
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 8:38am Cheri Pi:

This is a radical departure, good morning to JM & youse
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 8:52am maestroso:

Really enjoying these sounds, Jeff M.
  Thu. 8/22/13 8:56am doca:

@Polk Biggins: you're welcome, hope you stay.
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 8:57am fred:

Thanks Jeff, I hope you'll be back soon
Avatar Thu. 8/22/13 8:58am jeff-m:
