Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 8:19am Doug Schulkind:

The Stones did prefer formal ware during their early years.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 8:29am duke:

Did that monkey escape from Dave the Spazz's show?
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 8:31am Doug Schulkind:

Dave will never know he (she?) went missing.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 8:38am ausmanx:

it was Dave the Suave tonight, apparently, so we're on a theme already... evening, Doug and Duke
  Fri. 8/16/13 8:39am Maggie B.:

HAHAHAHA! I haven't had my coffee yet, but I'm awake now. Morning Doug and all!
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 8:41am Doug Schulkind:

Give the Drummer Some = coffee for your ears. Double espresso (one espresso for each ear). Morning Maggie!
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 8:47am ausmanx:

and for me, with late night work coffee, it's a couple of hours welcome relief from our EXCRUCIATING election campaign...
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 8:50am Doug Schulkind:

I hear you, ausmanx. At least you have Stephanie Banister to help the country's poison victims throw-up.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 8:52am Stanley:

Hello Doug. Good to see we are all assembling correctly.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 8:54am hyde:

I'm pretty excited about the three hours of Evolution Revolution songs that are about to hit the airwaves
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 8:55am hyde:

also, would it be pedantic of me to point out that's not a monkey, it's an ape?
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 8:55am Doug Schulkind:

Dr hyde and Mr. Stanley, I presume? Glad you gents are ready to proceed with the proceedings..
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 8:56am Doug Schulkind:

Of course not! I'm counting on you listeners to keep my simian misconceptions in check.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 8:56am Uncle Michael:

Evidently, I'm late.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 8:57am Doug Schulkind:

Morning, Uncle Monkey!
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 8:58am Uncle Michael:

I was in the hypnotic grip of Firesign Radio Hour Hour episode #9, "Everyone in New York is a communist."

Ook ook.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 8:58am Uncle Michael:

I'll be a simian's father's brother.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:00am duke:

@UM I went to Communist Martyr's High School
Avatar    Fri. 8/16/13 9:00am listener james from westwood:

doug, you've gotta play loud today ... i have railroad work going on directly outside my window ... welding and clanging and sawing and hammering and such.
Avatar    Fri. 8/16/13 9:01am listener james from westwood:

oddly, it's nowhere near as annoying as when my harebrained neighbor begins babbling and burbling and cursing up a storm through the wall.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:01am texas scott:

Hey.Looks like I'm in the right place.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:02am Doug Schulkind:

You have AND SUCH going on outside your window? Oh the horror!

@texas scott
My radio brother! How the hades are ya?!
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:03am Uncle Michael:

I dropped out of More Science High.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:03am texas scott:

In a Friday state of mind,Doug.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:03am Brian in UK:

Hello Doug y compadres.

Looks like Ian Brown is using Ringo's kit, well he has no use for it any more.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:05am Doug Schulkind:

Howdy, Brian in UK! By the way—we get THE DOG today.
Avatar    Fri. 8/16/13 9:05am listener james from westwood:

heh, before gtds i tried playing dave the spazz's jazz set from his fill-in this week, but the AND SUCH drowned it right out.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:05am Brian in UK:

@james love 'harebrained'
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:06am Stanley:

Give The Drummer a Banana
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:07am Brian in UK:

Doug, short-haired, medium sized, under one year old.

@Stanley bananas must come from the Kingdom of Fife.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:09am Brian in UK:

Doug I just love the sound of this recording.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:09am Doug Schulkind:

@Brian in UK
Rotweiler-sheppard mix (short hair). About two years old. And passed "the cat test" with flying, um, paws.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:11am Stanley:

@Brian - you get some weird fruit from Fife
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:11am Brian in UK:

Doug, Now for a name.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:12am Uncle Michael:

It won a cat eating contest?
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:13am Brian in UK:

@Stanley fruit reminds me of the guy in Spinal Tap who works in the hotel reception and wears a syrup. 'I'm just the way God made me'
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:14am Holly in NC:

Doug - DOG!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am perhaps as excited as Lincoln (well, surely not, but I am exceedingly happy for her & her new best friend) :-)
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:15am Doug Schulkind:

The name is up to Lincoln. The dog is her birthday present after all.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:16am Gary:

Hey, I think I know that monkey
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:17am Doug Schulkind:

Hi Holly! We are all kind of freaked out that we will be adding a 70-pound dog to a family that already includes three cats (one which is clinically neurotic).
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:17am Doug Schulkind:

Speaking of 70-pound neurotics — welcome Gary! (I kid.)
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:19am Uncle Michael:

I'd like the name of your cat's clinic.
Avatar    Fri. 8/16/13 9:24am listener james from westwood:

yay for the new dog! long life, love, and companionship to you all.
i'm now imagining the neurotic cat wearing woody allen glasses.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:26am Doug Schulkind:

My neurotic cat is dropping the lobster behind the fridge and sneezing into the tin of coke, as we speak.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:26am Doug Schulkind:

Get ready for "Big Idiot"!!
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:28am Brian in UK:

Doug, as long as the dog has a name you can call out loud in public.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:28am Doug Schulkind:

The big idiot buys a... dog.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:30am Gary:

If someone doesn't stop me, I'm going to be the 70lb idiot who buys that drumming monkey
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:32am Holly in NC:

@Doug - Understood. Sometimes I think I'm doing my furry family a huge disservice by subjecting 3 very possessive & needy felines (1 of whom is beyond neurotic) to each others' presence in a relatively small space that they each want to claim as their own. Like when they all camp out around the day's preferred water bowl (note there are always 5 clean full water bowls scattered around the house) to make sure that *noone* can get a drink. Serengeti in Durham.

But somehow we all survive, and I think more happily than if we didn't have each other.

Your house is a loving house, and Dog will find his (her?) way to fit in & add to the love. Not saying that Neurotic Cat won't disagree with my platitudes....
  Fri. 8/16/13 9:32am Elias:

As a younger man, I am proud to report that my drumming style earned me the nickname "Chimpanzeeli".
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:33am Uncle Michael:

slapping ho's
Avatar    Fri. 8/16/13 9:34am listener james from westwood:

woo! thermite in use right next to the house! anyone for like a 2000-degree fire?
  Fri. 8/16/13 9:35am Elias:

2000 degree Marmite?
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:36am Uncle Michael:

Better than using Vegemite.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:38am Doug Schulkind:

We are definitely aiming for "somehow we all survive."

@ Chimpanzeeli
Ook ook ook, to you Sir!
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:39am Doug Schulkind:

Close listeners will hear tweeting birds in the background. Either that, or I'm having a stroke.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:40am Uncle Michael:

Do you smell toast?
Avatar    Fri. 8/16/13 9:41am listener james from westwood:

@elias: marmite is hazardous enough without it reaching the temperature of a red giant.
@doug, always love the ambient nature-sounds in the music. ted barron played a cut yesterday with a dog accompanying the singer. wonderful.
@gary, i am reminded of "fear and loathing in las vegas": "all right, let's get down to brass tacks—how much for the ape?"
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:41am Gary:

Birds & toast be not mutually exclusive:
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:42am Doug Schulkind:

Uncle Michael, you rye bastard.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:44am Doug Schulkind:

Natural background noises of all kinds are so wonderful in live "on-site" recordings. Roosters crowing, insects vibrating, children giggling, etc. Oh the humanity.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:45am Uncle Michael:

If it's insects is that inanity?
  Fri. 8/16/13 9:45am Elias:

Aye...the words take me back to a simpler time. Ook indeed.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:45am ausmanx:

that was truly superb. do i really want to know what PIS LAI means, though?
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:46am Uncle Michael:

Buddy Rich can have an all monkey band here by TOMORROW.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:46am Doug Schulkind:

I've made my PIS, in it I must LAI.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:48am ausmanx:

we don't like to think of our DJs LAI-ing in PIS, i suspect, Doug
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:48am Doug Schulkind:

I would tell Buddy Rich, fuck you to his face. He really bollixed up some Charlie Parker sides. Saw him when I was about 15. Hated/loved him ever since. But mostly hated.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:53am Gary:

The Yelling Crying Screaming Man scaring me!
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:55am Uncle Michael:

What'd Buddy have against clams, anyway? He keep kosher?
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 9:57am Doug Schulkind:

[Runs over to Gary and cradles him to his bosom. Still feeling guilty about that 70-lb neurotic wisecrack.]
  Fri. 8/16/13 10:00am trish:

Helluva'n August morning. Great music in accompaniment.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:01am Doug Schulkind:

Oh trish! So glad you're here (and hear).
  Fri. 8/16/13 10:03am trish:

Me too, Doug. Me too.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:03am Brian in UK:

Think it is going to be last biped standing on todays show. This is intense. And I don't mean a camping exercise.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:07am Hugo:

Greetz to the enlarged Schulkind household from the fellow on the left! Youngest family member.
  Fri. 8/16/13 10:09am Elias:

Monkey drummer in very good sync with talkover music...
  Fri. 8/16/13 10:12am trish:

That's one cutie kitty, Hugo.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:13am Doug Schulkind:

Good afternoon, Brother H! And Brother H's young friend!
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:14am Alex In Illinois:

@Listener James from Westwood: Ted Barron? I searched to try to find out when he has a regular show, but had some difficulty. When is his regular show? I went to junior high and high school with him. He was the first one to teach me a 12-bar blues progression and a blues scale. I think it is the same Ted Barron.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:16am Stanley:

Ooooh! This has got me cha-cha-cha-ing all over the place.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:17am Doug Schulkind:

@Alex in Illinois
(1) Good morning!
(2) Ted used to have a regular show on WFMU's alt stream Rock 'n' Soul Ichiban. Now does occasional fill-ins for GTDR.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:17am Doug Schulkind:

Careful with that standing lamp in the corner. Remember the last time.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:19am Uncle Michael:

Last lamp standing.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:20am Artie:

Trained ape juggles lava lamps at party, radio show breaks out.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:20am hyde:

I kind of miss Ted Barron being on weekly, myself
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:21am Doug Schulkind:

Give the Drummer Some = where inanimate objects go to die.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:21am Stanley:

@Brian - its hot here in this office and I am spitting feathers. I could murder a beer but its only 3.20. Got anything lined up for yersel' refreshment-wise?
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:22am Alex In Illinois:

Hmm. Is the any particular time when he occaisionally is on the GTDR stream, or is it random? So far, I am aware of only this show, Uncle Michaal's, and the Tuesday night one, but I thought that all other times, the stream is on autopilot.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:23am Stanley:

@Doug - that standing lamp is now my wife!
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:23am Uncle Michael:

Should I feel guilty about my planned, noon beer?
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:24am Doug Schulkind:

Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:24am Brian in UK:

@Alex here is a link to Ted's archive it that os any help.

@Stanley Dry as a Kookabuura's kyhber. A large gin and tonic with ice and lime.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:25am Uncle Michael:

Alex, GTDR schedule:
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:25am Stanley:

@Michael - no its a great plan. It'll smooth out the edges just in time for your show.

@Brian - I like your style.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:25am Holly in NC:

@Alex in Illonois (& everyone) -

Ted Barron is also responsible for one of the very best music blogs ever

and, as Uncle Michael noted, all links still good so you can actually listen as well as enjoying the writing! Lots of great guest writers also.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:26am cd tap:

yes I'm cross-listening to Keili/Drummer
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:26am Gary:

La Lupe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!<------------[infinity]
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:26am Brian in UK:

Stanley really should walk Spencer but this bloomin' DJ is not helping the cause.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:27am Doug Schulkind:

@cd tap
Go DC United!
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:27am Holly in NC:

Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:27am Uncle Michael:

Stanley, for me...noon is an hour into my show.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:30am Gary:

@Holly How did I miss Boogie Woogie Flu? Thanks for the link/heads up -- it looks great!
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:30am Doug Schulkind:

Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:32am hyde:

@Gary, Holly, Doug seconded here. I had never stumbled over that blog either, somehow.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:34am Brian in UK:

Doug, can you play Olinga on its own one week, por favor? Too good to talk over even with your husky tones.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:34am cd tap:

AH shuddup drummer...what the heck happened to United this year??
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:39am Doug Schulkind:

You seem to be suggesting I do another "all talkover music" show.
Avatar    Fri. 8/16/13 10:39am listener james from westwood:

btw, the track workers have successfully set fire to the brush along my building's fence. fence appears to be next. may resume listening from an undisclosed fireproof location.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:41am Holly in NC:

@everyone - Oh please, do, do get lost in the Boogie Woogie Flu sinkhole!

A personal favorite (1 of many) Nicole Spector's recollection of her father - not at all what you might think.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:42am Doug Schulkind:

When you get there, tell Dick Cheney I said "piss off, wanker."
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:43am Alex In Illinois:

THanks for the Ted Barron Links Holly, Uncle Michael, and Brian. If I understand correctly, he must have been filling in for Matt Fiveash yesterday.

Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:47am Holly in NC:

I'm assuming everyone knows about @Gary's fantabulous site ...
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:48am hyde:

@Holly now THAT one I know about!
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:49am Doug Schulkind:

Hiya Carmichael! No one here but a buncha cronies eating cronuts.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:50am Brian in UK:

Hey Carmichael, did you have an enjoyable birthday. Lashings of ginger beer etc.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:53am Doug Schulkind:

Hey peeps, if I ever fail to say hello or respond to a comment, it is only out of DJ busyness on my end or simply missing your words before they scroll out of sight. Please never, ever take offense. Everyone should feel welcome and encouraged to participate.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:54am βrian:

Cornflower skies over the isthmus today.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:55am Doug Schulkind:

Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:58am Holly in NC:

Before I trundle off, want to share pic I shared privately w Doug earlier this am. I am not ashamed to admit that I'm a Catasters junkie, and this seemed apropos today ;-)
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:59am Doug Schulkind:

davex! So glad to see you!
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 10:59am Carmichael:

@Brian, I asked them to hold the ginger. I was on a North/South zigzag vacation, From Sacramento to Santa Barbara, back home and the up to Lake Tahoe. Tanks for asking.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:00am Doug Schulkind:

I've never actually tasted cat.

@Doug It tastes remarkably like cat
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:02am davex:

Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:02am Doug Schulkind:

Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:03am Doug Schulkind:

We'll always be here when you're ready to come back.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:03am hyde:

DO Radio made me break out my Mahavishnu Orchestra LP's for the first time in years. Now the Shankar/Hussain reference has made me think my Shakti records should be next.

I'm a-scooting for that long awaited beer. Bumper show, loved the Latin stuff.

@Brian - catch ya tomorra I hope.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:06am Uncle Michael:

Adios, Stanley!
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:06am Uncle Michael:

Make that..."Kroners to cronuts."
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:20am Brian in UK:

@davex is the sun shining in Leipzig? (sounds like some sort of spy message)

Bye Stanley, he's outta the door.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:21am Brian in UK:

@Doug that nice Mr Heston is maybe thinking 'pass me that rifle I can pick off the SOB from here'
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:21am duke:

Umthandazo is dazzling
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:22am Doug Schulkind:

Speaking of the Kronos Quartet, is that "Kronos Quartet Plays the Music of GG Allin" for real?
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:22am Doug Schulkind:

God how I wish it was. No I don't.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:23am duke:

Remember Mom, be sure to pick up lots of Soylent Green at your local Hinky Dinky market
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:24am Brian in UK:

Got a feeling the roller coaster starts here.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:24am davex:

@Brian: James is wearing brown shoes. James is wearing brown shoes.

But seriously, yes the sun is out today over Leipzig, although I'm not seeing much of it due to jet lag. How are things looking in Watford today?
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:25am Doug Schulkind:

I screwed up and forget to click enter for the Hailu Mergia track, so it looked like the Tulips went on for the last nine minutes. I apologize.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:25am Jeff Golick:

@Doug: that one is news to me. I'm still marveling at the GG Allin bobblehead:
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:27am Gary:

This is supremely awesome.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:27am Brian in UK:

@davex Sunshine and rain showers for the last two days. I need to work outside but it is impossible.

But seriously the fox is in the coop and wearing red pajamas.

Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:28am Doug Schulkind:

Re: GG Allin and Kronos Quartet — see here
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:28am Brian in UK:

When did the jet lag come from apart from a jet.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:29am Shaun:

Chimp's left leg's going crazy but there's no hi-hat. WAKE UP SHEEPLE/look at the shadows/there's no wind on the moon..

Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:32am davex:

Brian: Yes, aircraft were involved (could have been one of those Elon Musk things, of course). But we were in fact away for a couple of weeks in NY and LA, visiting family and friends.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:32am Shaun:

Cheers, Gary.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:32am Doug Schulkind:

Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:39am Doug Schulkind:

If only Jimi had learned you could do this without heroin. (Well, I am assuming without heroin.)
  Fri. 8/16/13 11:41am Elias:

Yow. Queensboro bridge. GTDS Breaking News! I may have to go check that out.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:41am davex:

@Brian: Yes, it was a great trip, but we need time to recover now. Also, it's ironically good to be back on the WFMU schedule that I know, shifted 6 hours forward.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:43am duke:

This pretty much kicks ass
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:43am Gary:

Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:44am Shaun:

How was it for you?
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:44am Carmichael:

Hey Doug, is Charlie coming back to the air? Or is he doing something?
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:44am Brian in UK:

Was that an ngoni?
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:46am Uncle Michael:

I was really sad when upon visiting Chappaquiddick in 1975, to learn that the wooden bridge was a restoration since souvenir seekers had pulled the original apart.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:47am Brian in UK:

Can anyone spell her surname?
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:48am Doug Schulkind:

Don't think so.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:48am Brian in UK:

That drummer has it.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:49am Doug Schulkind:

Charlie is in the process of moving and lining up a new job in his new location. Hopes to be back from hiatus next month.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:50am Uncle Michael:

Am I the only one here that knows every blessed word of this by heart?
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:50am Jeff Golick:

Honest question: what does "four on the floor" actually mean?
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:51am Doug Schulkind:

I assume you meant Charlie Lewis and not Charlie Daniels.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:51am Uncle Michael:

A four speed stick shift that's on the floor, not the steering column.
Avatar    Fri. 8/16/13 11:52am listener james from westwood:

the irony is that charlie daniels now appears to be a bit of a conservative.

Stop laughing at us Topeka Country Boy.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:52am Hugo:

How Sahel sounds can be a threat to national security:

I didn't make this up ...
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:52am duke:

It's either a 4-speed transmission with a floor mounted stick shift or a bass pattern in house
Avatar    Fri. 8/16/13 11:53am listener james from westwood:

@jeff: it's a transmission thing, but not sure how it relates.
also the beat to which much of monica's playlist adheres.
Avatar    Fri. 8/16/13 11:53am listener james from westwood:

what duke said!
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:53am Uncle Michael:

predates house, duke...back to '60s soul
Avatar    Fri. 8/16/13 11:55am listener james from westwood:

heh, the "my" in "wake up my people" = "white"
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:56am Jeff Golick:

Thanks, car folks. I was first introduced to the idea via a Tim Kazurinsky bit that referenced "four-on-the-floorgasms."
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:57am Carmichael:

The alter ego transmission would be "3 on the tree".
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:57am Monica:

Doug, you sure do dig 'em up!! Another awesome installment from the drummer.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:57am Uncle Michael:

google "hurst shifter"
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:57am duke:

@Jeff that's a different kind of transmission
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:58am Uncle Michael:

yep...and three on the tree was common on pickups
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:58am Brian in UK:

@Todd do you have an address.
Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 11:58am Carmichael:

Hursts are spring-loaded, for that extra-fast flcik o' the wrist.

Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 12:01pm Shaun:

Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 12:02pm Alex In Illinois:

Avatar Fri. 8/16/13 12:03pm Alex In Illinois:
