Scratchy vanity 45s, pilfered field recordings, muddy off-the-radio sounds, homemade congregational tapes and vintage commercial gospel throw-downs; a little preachin', a little salvation, a little audio tomfoolery.

Kevin, I had to chime in here to thank you for presenting that "Christland Singers" track=Whooo!, the lead vox on that track is probably one of the greatest "Soul" perfomances I have EVER heard....PERIOD.If not THE greatest.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:51pm
sinner:

Hi Sean. You have good ears, of course. That was one R H Harris, generally considered by gospel folk as the greatest male gospel singer. He was hugely influential on so many singers.

Hi Sinner, Just wanted to think you for the EXCELLENT premium CD.

dinodimooch:

thank you once again, brother Kevin.
I'm terribly Home - sick, in the Heavenly sense, and sometimes the wait seems unbearable and I'm tempted to take the old shortcut to Paradise, but surely, if the likes of Sister Ernestine can wait patiently for the call despite her situation, I certainly can in my luxury.
  3:50am
dinodimooch:

Bob Angliano? sounds like a distant cousin of mine from Newark! Will check up on that - by and bye. so beautiful, yet i'm profoundly troubled and confused.
