Diane, does Mr. Miller in his book acknowledge the crazy country, blues and jazz scenes that set the stage for Detroit Rock City?
Avatar 12:16pm
Cecile:

Also, the influx of people all over the country and world coming there to work in the auto plants brought a lot of influences.
Avatar 12:16pm

What was Steve's impression going back and editing the Touch and Go book? What was timeless and what made him wince really hard?

Rush, REO, Foghat, Styx, Kansas, Seger, those were groups that would actually make it up to the U.P. in the 70s - there were actual TV ads when they played in Marquette. Never went to any of their shows, though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43pm

Hey Jay.
But of course the question always is how many of those live albums were actually "live" albums

I haven't been using my ghost pepper sauce as much b/c it can be awkward if I have an impromptu meeting and I sweating, and I can only say a few words at a time w/o looking like I'm on drugs.
