Amanda, you got a fan shout out last week on Clay Pigeon's show. He was interviewing some guy wearing a WFMU tee, and asked him what his favorite shows were. He said, "Tom Scharpling, 7SD, and Nazario Scenario."
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 12:04pm Rich in Washington:

Greetings, Amanda! Fellow Scenarians!
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 12:05pm Amanda:

The Esso Steel Band doing "Sweet Caroline"
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 12:06pm Uncle Michael:

I've been trained that if I ever hear someone say what that guy just said, to call the campus police.
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 12:07pm pacific standard simon:

So Amanda could change the name of the show to The Third Best Show on WFMU.
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 12:08pm Doug Schulkind:

All I know is Nazario Scenario is one of the TOP TWO Wednesday programs on Give the Drummer Radio!
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 12:09pm Amanda:

That Dusty Show interviewee was a friend of mine from college, as it turns out. Maybe not the only person with those exact tastes, but it explains a lot...
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 12:14pm Uncle Michael:

See you all again shortly. Cars-on-45 now!
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 12:14pm listener james from westwood:

Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 12:15pm G:

My dad used to get Esso band records for free at work in the 60s. He worked for a car company. I'll check it out, and tx
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 12:15pm pacific standard simon:

Better stay in the right lane, then.
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 12:15pm Rich in Washington:

People say that Manson killed the hippy movement but I think Stars on 45's Beatles record was the permanent anti-hippy vaccine.
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 12:16pm Amanda:

It cracks me up. This whole album side is Beatles songs all run together.
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 12:16pm Amanda:

@G, that is so cool about your dad! I am jealous.
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 12:17pm Carmichael:

I have a dozen or so cassettes made by GM that they apparently gave away with new cars that had the cassette deck option. Oddball compilations. I wonder who was tasked with compiling them?
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 12:18pm Carmichael:

I love synthetic handclaps. They make EVERY song sound better.
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 12:19pm listener james from westwood:

beatle barkers!!
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 12:19pm pacific standard simon:

RIP Alan Meyers of DEVO.
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 12:43pm Rich in Washington:

@psr: no wonder the world feels so off-kilter today. We lost a helluva drummer.
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 12:44pm Amanda:

Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 1:02pm listener james from westwood:

hadda jump over to youtube and play "whip it." hadda be done.
glad it wasn't just me being nuts for thinking the osmond cut was mj.
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 1:05pm Rich in Washington:

Jerry Casale tweeted that he begged Alan to not leave Devo. I'd always thought Jerry wanted eliminate any analog, old school instruments.
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 1:08pm pacific standard simon:

I seem to have forgotten that "Myers" has only one "e".
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 1:14pm pacific standard simon:

You could make a nice set of songs by musicians who have worked as professional radio DJs (starting with Greg Kihn).
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 1:19pm Rich in Washington:

@psr: I am looking for a (fairly comprehensive) list of famous people who were DJs. Have you seen one somewhere?
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 1:21pm Doug Schulkind:

I am having an extremely pleasurable experience listening to this radio program.
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 1:23pm pacific standard simon:

Only in my head, and hardly comprehensive: Mojo Nixon, Flo & Eddie, Steve Jones, The Big Bopper, George Carlin... I know there's a lot more -- and even more if you count volunteers (half the FMU staff, eh?)
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 1:26pm Carmichael:

I saw Devo last summer. They were splendid: Loud, lights and synthy.
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 1:28pm listener james from westwood:

seconding doug's sentiment!
must dive into a conference call, but hope to rejoin, or at least to be part of the launch of kenzo's show!
Avatar Wed. 6/26/13 1:29pm KevinfromBayRidge:
