Good morning DJDJ, and congrats on getting a regular show
Avatar    Tue. 6/4/13 3:33am beavoux:

Hi, the Childish cd is on Damaged Goods recs.
  Tue. 6/4/13 3:34am P-90:

Welcome back for week #4. really feeling the Soul vibe!
But these shorter tracks one after another keep the DJ busy, queuing tunes and updating playlist, don't they? It's different than the kind of show where you're playing a lot of 6-10 minute things. MC5: so often mentioned by other artists as inpsiration/influence, but there's a lot of Beatlemania in the air on this track...
Avatar    Tue. 6/4/13 3:37am beavoux:

MC5 covering the Who's cover of that song
  Tue. 6/4/13 3:42am P-90:

Tiny detail: Roky Erickson always spelled his name "Roky," causing confusion. I've even heard less informed DJ's (not here) pronounce it "Roakey", faked out by the odd spelling.
Avatar    Tue. 6/4/13 3:48am beavoux:

Roky is on tour now with his son's band.
Avatar    Tue. 6/4/13 3:53am beavoux:

His real name is Roger Kynard Erickson thus the spelling.
Avatar    Tue. 6/4/13 3:56am beavoux:

Great show DJ.
  Tue. 6/4/13 3:57am P-90:

Just warms my heart to see Roky still breathing (and gigging!)
So many of his vintage with his kinds of ups and downs are no longer around. These Texas dudes are built tough.
Avatar    Tue. 6/4/13 4:04am beavoux:

Doug Sham was another one.

  Tue. 6/4/13 4:23am Andrea on the M62:

Enjoying the show from a rather sunny Liverpool. Cheers!
  Tue. 6/4/13 4:26am P-90:

@Jay and Andrea: Glad to hear it's sunny over there, North and South...it's been about 10 days of rain on-and-off here in NJ/NY area.
Avatar    Tue. 6/4/13 4:33am Jay/London:

@ P-90 it's been cold wet and windy on our so called spring time at Last the sun !!!
Avatar    Tue. 6/4/13 4:36am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...Nice Show! ; (wondered for a second if I'd left WWOZ N'Orleans on in my sleep for that Soul)...
  Tue. 6/4/13 4:39am P-90:

Hi RR. Yeah it's been a real soul fest here. I'm McLovin' it.
DJ D.J. really rocks in this time slot.
  Tue. 6/4/13 4:41am P-90:

@RR: is WWOZ N'awlins on the web? Didn't know.
Avatar    Tue. 6/4/13 4:57am beavoux:
