28 volumes of Ethiopiques and still going strong.
Avatar 9:26am
Cheri Pi:

To avoid ending a sentence with a preposition, tack on comma/eh? It works everytime:"is this where the party's at, eh?"
Avatar 9:30am
Rev. Turnip Druid:

CP: stout wisdom, that. It'll surely work better than my customary ending "...ye rancid bastard fwit"
Avatar 9:32am
Cheri Pi:

That's also acceptable, in fact I prefer your ending to mine as it's more polite.

The IRS was doing what it used to do to hippies. But for conservative groups.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:18am
G:

I don't want to start anything political here, but the press reports seem to say left-of-center groups were getting approved for tax-exempt, and right-of-cnter groups were getting held up through the 2011-12 run-up to the election and not getting approved. I'd say it's just politics as usual, but the Executive Branch has been making people resign rather than saying it's only politics, so they must be worried about actual criminal liability and how far up in the chain it may go.

Jeff:

Somebody - might've been Kurt - played some piece which was composed just to use tones in a certain frequency range. Which sounds like a cool idea.

It was nothing but thoroughly unpleasant.

But the frequency range in that case was all in the high thousands or low tens of thousands of hertz - I don't remember exactly now. All the piece did was annoy me and give me a nagging incipient headache / earache.

It was really thoroughly unpleasant.
Avatar 10:50am
Sigurdur:

sounds fun
Avatar 10:52am
Jeff:

Dammit, I want to be able to edit comments. That had a phrase repeated in a way I didn't intend. (Please mentally block out the first sentence about unpleasantness, and just leave the one which serves as a summation.)

Thank you.
