Just checked, this is a 2008 release, lovely to hear this and a definite look at a download here.

thanks for the pastoral :) -- that's an area i know a lot about, and i didn't know that poulenc one. (it's not in his wiki article either, or in several online discussions of classical or related music with a "pastoral" label)

This is a great track by the way.

A perfect track for a chilled out Bank Holiday

Hey Irene - you were given as an onsite contact for picking up vibes and a keyboard last Friday. Sorry if you had to stay late at work...the client didn't give us a time it needed to be picked up BY.

What's the best way to combat these allergies? or do we just give in to them? -lovely show today Irene

Hi Irene - a nice relaxing Monday afternoon . . . .ahhhhh
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:04pm
Irene Trudel:

@ Mike, no real problem there. I am usually at my workplace until at least 7pm. At issue was more the closing of the freight elevator at about 5:30pm.

@Sean, don't have much advice on allergies. I've found, for myself, that using a lot of local honey as a sweetener in tea & coffee has helped. I've tried the bee pollen route with minor results but some swear by it. Staying in with air conditioning also helps, but is not always an option. (Atchoo!)

A plunger to each nostil might work. Other than that nothing effective.

wow, just saw that Molly Drake is Nick's mum! That was a touching song and will have to look for more and more info... thanks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:07pm
Mike East:

I asked them no less than 3 times to find out what time the freight closed and got no response, so I just crossed my fingers. Last minute order on a Friday in the city...can expect much in the way of trucking in most cases. I'm very glad you weren't put out.

*can't* expect much...

Saw Charles Lloyd & Maria Farantouri last week. It was a wonderful relaxed and giving show. I have waited forty years to hear Maria's voice live and was not disappointed. Never thought I would hear her scatting with a jazz man.

After that Charming disease track you should play "Everything gives you cancer" by Joe Jackson.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:27pm
Irene Trudel:

@ Mike, no harm done.

I suppose I should explain to everybody else. Last Friday on Soundcheck, the *other* program I work with, we had Rachel Zeffira on and some rented equipment had a delayed pickup. But all got resolved. (She did a really nice set, by the way.)

@Irene - I'll check it out, for sure!

Good afternoon, Irene, and all; I was on the road when allergies came up. My doc told me to use Claritin..anti-histimine..it's OTC, but you need ID. the 12 hr claritin D works like a miracle..eye lubricant is also effective..the anti-histimine needs to reach the critical clinical limit, in your immune system to be effective....It's a drug...pseudo-epinepherene...but it WORKS!
