Amen to that ! (Re tech and innovations.) What always amazes me is how obvious it is in hindsight that a radio station should be doing the things on the web that FMU has done for years, and yet still, even with FMU to set the example and with most other non-commercial stations having far greater financial resources, practically no one else is, say, archiving programs or running live playlists.
Avatar    Tue. 3/12/13 6:21pm listener james from westwood:

i've had to look up a bunch of radio stations for work, and their homepages and archives are often geocities-level at best. these are stations money-rich enough to license a string of right-wing blowhards, whereas fmu gives you so much on a razor-thin budget and a tribe of dedicated techies.

Avatar    Fri. 3/15/13 8:05am Van in DC:

Loving all the history of FMU dropping of knowledge during this show! I had no idea about Web. Henry's role, etc. Or that this is the start of Year 27! Or that Drummer Some has now spent more than half his life in the pursuit of the Freeform radio ideal!
Avatar Fri. 3/15/13 8:06am Doug Schulkind:

Crazy, right? All in the name of love.
Avatar    Fri. 3/15/13 8:07am Van in DC:

The Beth Orton Last Leaves of Autumn is just beautiful.
