Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:11am Mike East:

...Henry Travers. Don't want you to think I can't google.
  9:14am Jack:

Most of H.G. Wells science fiction has been made into movies, some cheesier than others. War of The Worlds, Invisible Man, Island of Dr. Moreau...I just read "The Nobody" by Jeff Lamire (graphic novel) which was a nice spin off the Invisible Man.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:17am Mike East:

i thought the tom cruise remake of war of the worlds was crap
  9:17am Jack:

sorry, Jeff Lemire.
  9:19am Jack:

great show, bob
  10:18am Mark Rosen:

Tons of Funk Brothers backing tracks are available on the Motown label karaoke CDs. All ORIGINAL!!
  6:50am dave heasman:

That "Spirit Girl" track is great. The first time we in the UK really heard Kirk was on the Mingus Oh Yeah album that was recorded in 1961. (And later in the great Roy Haynes' "Out of the Afternoon"). Everyone heard/had "Oh Yeah" - Davy Graham, Alexis Korner, Paul Jones were strongly influenced - but from this track it appears that it was far more Kirk than Mingus. I loved Kirk, we'd go see him at Ronnie Scott's as often as we could afford. No record ever really captured the live Kirk.
