I now have to groom myself for a face-to-face interview. Can never tell how to approach these things, but, since it's a City agency, I'm going conservative. My last job, I showed up clean-cut w/ a tie, and my interviewers were in hoodies and jeans.... that was awkward.

Well, most of the work will be for the NYFD, so, I should go for a conservative look. My full beard comes in w/in 9 days, so that's not a problem. It's the private startups and tech firms that are casual. (i'm going to miss working in cutoff polyester shorts and threadbare tees.)

Not officially hired, but everything looks extremely positive.

I only iron stuff when I go to formal weddings.

I'll have to see how the work layout is before I can tell what to wear. When I worked for the federal gov't, I had to wear a suit and tie, but they didn't understand tech. For the City, usually a polo and nice jeans.

@HW: yep, and quite easy to watch a season in one stretch, when the season is just 6-8 episodes. Takes a bit more stamina with US shows.
