DCE: no way. Take out the tough stems, chop, pour on some olive oil, add garlic, salt. Work the oil into the leaves with your fingers and yer done. Really good.

I blanche it, DCE. drop it in boiling water for about 3 seconds, shock it with ice water. Add sesame oil/soy sauce/rice vinegar/tofu/sesame seeds = delicious

truth be told, I got a kale and seaweed salad from a place that delivers called Zen Palate and it was delicious, so I approximated the recipe with my detective-like taste buds and made it at home. Seaweed is hard to come by at Stop n Shop, though.

This is also the season for roasting vegetables. Parsnips, onions, carrots, potatoes, beets –– you name it. I like olive oil, salt and fresh rosemary. A squeeze of lemon before serving.

Yeah, I never follow recipes unless the cuisine is new to me, and even then, I find half a dozen, and adjust according to my tastes (and still eyeball the measurements). Most dishes I don't have to think about, and throw in whatever needs to be utilized before it spoils.
