I once had a sleep paralysis dream that a box/snapping turtle crawled up to the side of my mattress. We looked at each other for a while. Then I woke up and ran to get my parents. I was three I think.

Of all the fake tofu-meats, tofuatee has the best texture. The local Asian market here sells them in little manatee shapes that kids love.

I used a panapoly of recipes including the NYT recipe, I took what ingredients I had, and used proportions I felt I'd like the most.

Fake tofu meats... THAT's the future. For those ex-vegetarians that miss the taste of tofu, get fake tofu made out of various meats; pork formed to resemble tempeh, etc... fake veggie burgers made of beef, shaped in a flat circle just like the real thing... it'll be a sensation!
