Extra credit goes to the first person to ID the spanking woman.
  Tue. 12/25/12 5:45pm Uncle Michael:

I verified that my first guess is correct. I'm going to see who else gets it.
Avatar Tue. 12/25/12 5:49pm Doug Schulkind:

Uncle Michael, I have the credit vacuum-sealed and ready to arrive via my pneumatic-tube mailing device.
Tue. 12/25/12 5:51pm Holly in NC:

Doug - I got it! Hint for you - rename your jpg ;-)
Merry day of, er, not much traffic on the road.
  Tue. 12/25/12 5:52pm Uncle Michael:

Thank you, Doug. Kitten Natividad to you.
Avatar Tue. 12/25/12 5:53pm Doug Schulkind:

That's a gas, Holly! I blame that on my intern. Blessed spider-free soulseeking to you and yours!
Avatar Tue. 12/25/12 5:54pm Doug Schulkind:

Kitten Natividad. Two big reasons to love Christmas. (I blame that on my intern, too.)
  Tue. 12/25/12 5:58pm Uncle Michael:

Yep...this show is live.
  Tue. 12/25/12 5:59pm ndbob:

evening Doug and everyone!
Avatar Tue. 12/25/12 6:01pm Doug Schulkind:

Hey ndbob!
  Tue. 12/25/12 6:03pm ndbob:

@Doug Ha!
Tue. 12/25/12 6:03pm Uncle Michael: have my endorsement, if you want to do three or four hours. Wait...roasted Brussels spouts? Nevermind. Yum.
Tue. 12/25/12 6:03pm Holly in NC:

@doug, keihin & I are indeed slsking, join us later
Avatar Tue. 12/25/12 6:05pm Doug Schulkind:

Gotta go make a salad after the show. Then eat the dinner with a capital D!
Tue. 12/25/12 6:06pm Uncle Michael: fine.
Tue. 12/25/12 6:07pm Holly in NC:

I LOVE Brussels Sprouts with an unholy passion.
  Tue. 12/25/12 6:08pm Uncle Michael:

So do I, Holly. We're a rare breed...yet, here we gather. There needs to be a Brussels sprouts/cool music venn diagram.
  Tue. 12/25/12 6:11pm Uncle Michael:

I have my fingers crossed for Merle's "If We make It Through December."
  Tue. 12/25/12 6:11pm ndbob:

brussel sprouts a rank slightly below fruitcake for me
  Tue. 12/25/12 6:11pm Uncle Michael:

And you really love fruitcake?
Tue. 12/25/12 6:13pm Holly in NC:

Uncle Michael - do you also love (hushed voice)...rutabagas?
  Tue. 12/25/12 6:14pm ndbob:

i requested this on another station once
Avatar Tue. 12/25/12 6:14pm Doug Schulkind:

Me too, Holly, me too!

Hang on for a David Peel tune next. Get the toothpaste ready for your ears.
  Tue. 12/25/12 6:15pm Uncle Michael:

You know, Holly. I' coming around on root vegetables. I wasn't raised on rutabagas, parsnips, beets, etc. I'm getting there.
  Tue. 12/25/12 6:15pm Uncle Michael:

All hail The Lower East Side.
  Tue. 12/25/12 6:16pm ndbob:

um not exactly Michael:) I'm picky with veggies - and picky in general
  Tue. 12/25/12 6:17pm Uncle Michael:

A friend of mine was doing a standard fare Lennon tribute show on December 8th and I got him to play The Ballad of New York City. I had to send him the file.
Avatar Tue. 12/25/12 6:17pm Doug Schulkind:

Oh is my daughter gonna let me have it.
  Tue. 12/25/12 6:19pm Uncle Michael:

Your daughter doesn't know Santa is black?
Tue. 12/25/12 6:20pm Holly in NC:

Ah, parsips & beets are a wee bit too sweet for me (except beets in a good tart borsct). Rutabagas are slightly, yet bracingly, bitter. If you mix plain mashed irish potatoes 1/2 & 1/2 w rutabaga, you may die of bliss!
Doug, I'm surprised you didn't play Red Sovine's most weepy xmas song:
And why is L. going to be upset?
Avatar Tue. 12/25/12 6:20pm Doug Schulkind:

She knows that, she just didn't know he was shooting speed on the rooftop.
  Tue. 12/25/12 6:22pm Uncle Michael:

boo-gee woo-gee music
  Tue. 12/25/12 6:23pm Uncle Michael:

Doug, I hope you have the complete Twisted Tales collection.
Avatar Tue. 12/25/12 6:24pm Doug Schulkind:

I do, Unka Mikey, I do!
Tue. 12/25/12 6:25pm Matt from Springfield:

Quit jivin', and GET DOWN, Santa!

Heya Drummer Doug, and the Sum of Drummers! Merry Xmas to all!
  Tue. 12/25/12 6:25pm Uncle Michael:

Good. Someday you're gonna need me for a hookup. Someday...
  Tue. 12/25/12 6:27pm Uncle Michael:

Happy tidings, Matt.
Tue. 12/25/12 6:27pm Holly in NC:

Uncle Michael, i have through vol 9 - are there more?
Avatar Tue. 12/25/12 6:27pm Doug Schulkind:

Tue. 12/25/12 6:29pm Matt from Springfield:

Give the Dinner Some, or maybe Give the DRUNKER Some right now! Just checking in from a family party now. Lovely white Christmas eve and morning in central PA--did the ghost of Irving B. smile on Pittsburgh as well?
  Tue. 12/25/12 6:30pm ndbob:

I have 1-8
  Tue. 12/25/12 6:30pm Uncle Michael:

How embarrassing. I have only eight as well.
Tue. 12/25/12 6:31pm Matt from Springfield:

Happy tidings, UM!
Lovely fistful of Mingus nog you got here! Now just to take off my--oh no! Where are my socks to begin with?!

  Tue. 12/25/12 6:34pm ndbob:

thanks Holly that would be great!
  Tue. 12/25/12 6:35pm Uncle Michael:

@Doug, thanks! I'm planning on a very festive Italian beef sandwich after the show...and uncorking a winter white ale.

  Tue. 12/25/12 6:46pm Uncle Michael:

Avatar Tue. 12/25/12 6:49pm Doug Schulkind:

Happy Xmas to you, my dear Jessie! I just got a tweet from someone listening in Australia! I guess it's Boxing Day there already.
Avatar Tue. 12/25/12 6:49pm Doug Schulkind:

  Tue. 12/25/12 6:50pm Uncle Michael:

It's mixed martial arts day at my house. You two need to get a room.

  Tue. 12/25/12 6:51pm Uncle Michael:

I'm guessing The Youngsters.
Avatar Tue. 12/25/12 6:51pm Doug Schulkind:

Guess I get to keep the million.
  Tue. 12/25/12 6:52pm Uncle Michael:

I'm wrong! So much for buying that Residents box set.
Avatar Tue. 12/25/12 6:56pm Doug Schulkind:

"The noise was disturbing, I couldn't find Irving..."

Lyricism at its pinnacle.
  Tue. 12/25/12 6:58pm Uncle Michael:

The rhymes are pretty relaxed. I like this record a lot. I dragged my wife to a Glitter and Doom show and to my eternal amazement, she loved it,
  Tue. 12/25/12 6:59pm ndbob:

excellent show Doug!
  Tue. 12/25/12 6:59pm Uncle Michael:

Thanks for the holiday party Doug, enjoy dinner. Good evening everyone.

Enjoyed! Happy Holidays! :)
Wed. 12/26/12 2:46pm Van in DC:

For the life of me the woman looks like a young Lucille Ball...did I miss who it was in the comments...?
Thu. 12/27/12 11:23pm Matt from Springfield:

Finished round 2!
Glad I caught the stuff I missed--Red Sovine lives up to his mighty song-poem reputation. And was *that* the "Sun Ra doo-wop" project I've been hearing about??!

Travelled to the past, now travelling to the future tomorrow!
  Thu. 12/27/12 11:25pm Doug Schulkind:

@Matt from Springfield
Tomorrow's journey will be a last look back at 2012. Back to the future!
Thu. 12/27/12 11:30pm Matt from Springfield:

All right! Back to the future's present's past future I go! See you then!
