Hi Joe! Happy National Day (Laos & UAE), don't you just love holidays??
  Sun. 12/2/12 12:25am KP:

I've found secret to holidays is to get out of town. No family is as annoying as your own.

I just LOVE the holidays, Scott W., especially the Laotian ones!
  Sun. 12/2/12 12:28am KP:

Sun. 12/2/12 1:25am Matt from Springfield:

I like what I've heard from "The Who Sell Out", but never listened to that beginning-to-end. Something I should do!

Also a nice French song to bring in December, as it's about "neige" (snow).

Another good French folk one! Nice to hear Pierre Seguer.
  Sun. 12/2/12 1:28am Frances:

@JoeMcG lucky for me,7th grade preceded the shooting. That happened when I was in highschool & I punched a guy in the stomach that day when he made a joke of it/made my friend cry. Shocking that a female would punch a guy back then ;)

Joe, the song is "Who Says There Ain't No Santa Claus." It was jokey '50s style RB. I've only heard it once, on WFMU. The other quote is the punchline.
Sun. 12/2/12 2:32am Matt from Springfield:

Another Jeanie country singer! There's never too many, if they're good!

Catching up on archive. I'm not sure if you know (you didn't mention it in the first mic break), but Wakeman has actually been in South America in the last two weeks doing Journey shows, tied in to the new-and-improved re-release of Journey with tons of notes (132 pages, if I am remembering right) -- see Wakeman's site about all that --

http://www.rwcc.com/gorr.asp (Nov 2012 "grumpy old rick rant")

Underappreciated is the late-90s "Return to the Centre of the Earth", with voiceover from Patrick Stewart and singing from Justin Hayward, Ozzy O., et al...
  Mon. 12/3/12 2:05pm Stephen:

Thank you for remembering George!
