Nice Led Zep tune. The Best Show often leads off with one of their songs.

Zeppelin always sound fresh. Their best material has aged incredibly well; one of the most phenomenal bands in rock/metal history. |

"Jimmy Page has been quoted as saying that "Achilles Last Stand" is his favorite Led Zeppelin song; it became an integral component of almost every Led Zeppelin concert from their 1977 tour of the United States onwards."

I really enjoyed Bilzebub's fill in last week. A different mood but I needed it.

I prefer a raw sound but nice to be reminded "produced" sounding Metal is still alright.
|
|
Fri. 11/16/12 12:33am
Wm.:
Did someone say "raw sound"? |

You've been getting amazing live acts on the show. I'm still in amazement over the Occultation, the Gate and Shaved Women live broadcasts.

Helas, indeed! Have their stuff somewhere at home ... As to live bands, yes, I've been very fortunate all around~! Yellow Eyes' set super amazing; Sun Splitter as well. That was a banner week for me (us)! |

William, glad you're back! Your replacement last week didn't kick it with us. Now we're back within those strange worlds of cold relelentless universes ( a great title you played a few weeks ago and wich I replayed a few times), hehe. You listened to the new NADJA LP? They now have drums and more vocals, they played our club last sunday and substituted the live drums with a sample, pretty neat, in the beginning they sounded kinda like Tangerine Dream on the SORCERER soundtrack, one of the best LPs in my film colection. I don't know where I' m getting here, just wanted to throw a few words your way, I think, Guten Morgen!
|
|
Fri. 11/16/12 1:17am
Wm.:
Ah, will check out the Nadja; that's a band that's sort of on my periphery, but I like what they do.... Dankeschone for your pledge!~ |
|
|
Fri. 11/16/12 1:23am
Wm.:
"Cold Empty Universe" - great project. |
|
Fri. 11/16/12 1:26am
schlockmaster:
Yeah! | |
|
Fri. 11/16/12 1:27am
schlockmaster:
In contrast to the music you normally play, NADJAs kinda sissy, but I like them anyway, they're good when played loud enough.
|
Fri. 11/16/12 1:28am
schlockmaster:
Und Bitteschön, the wife wanted a T-shirt anyway, and you need the money....
|
|
Fri. 11/16/12 1:30am
Wm.:
Not too sissy ... I like the artful Doom stuff as well. It's only that these sounds I play need a "home," and have been my passion for the past 13 years or so.... As far as my home listening, anything goes. I'm really stoked on that four-disc Witch box set, the Nambian band, amazing sounds.... |

Orcrist/White Medal/Marblebog!!!
|
Fri. 11/16/12 1:34am
schlockmaster:
Gotta do my Frühsport (morning gymnastics) now - thats when we germans stand in front of open windows, letting in the fresh morning breeze, doing Kniebeugen and Liegestützen (situps and pushups) for the better building of mind and body... Just kidding, keep up the good work here!
|
Fri. 11/16/12 1:36am
schlockmaster:
And you're right, they (NADJA)aint too sizzy, when they play live, they got that cold empty universe feel to them too.

MORGENDLICHE LEIBESÜBUNGEN is another fun word for Frühsport.

I'd like to rescore the movie Nadja with some darker sounds.

These Ghast vocals sound like wet tires spinning against wet pavement, and I'm not sure I've ever heard anything better. ;-)
