Live Performance by The Letter Yellow
Guitarist/Vocalist Randy Bergida, after many years with Portland rockers Skidmore Fountain, moved to Brooklyn to form The Letter Yellow. Laid-back guitar tunes blended with sweet harmonies fill The Letter Yellow's debut release, "Walking Down the Streets." It's an ode to the pleasures of NYC life, and The Letter Yellow plays some of it live on WFMU.

  Mon. 11/12/12 2:14pm hamburger:

when that M Shanghai String Band was on, I was walking in the middle of the street after rush hour, and it felt like I was in a movie! (if that makes sense)
  Mon. 11/12/12 2:18pm hamburger:

  Mon. 11/12/12 2:28pm 1mckrs:

Not to be pedantic, but Sandy was a big, but not exceptional storm, at least in terms of surge heights and wind speed. The difference was where it hit and that sea-level rise had laid the table, so to speak, for unprecedented destructive forces.
  Mon. 11/12/12 2:31pm seang:

then don't be pedantic
  Mon. 11/12/12 2:36pm 1mckrs:

Indeed.
Mon. 11/12/12 2:37pm Chris from DC:

Oh, good call.
  Mon. 11/12/12 2:37pm 1mckrs:

"Superstorm" just to me suggests that our goose isn't cooked already.
Avatar    Mon. 11/12/12 2:42pm Irene:

Hey, I'm just saying' it was mighty bad in terms of how it hit us in the NY-NJ area. Any time a destructive storm hits labels don't really matter. Last year it was Hurricane Irene. Next year there will be another monster storm. We just need to pull together and help those we can.
  Mon. 11/12/12 2:45pm 1mckrs:

And at least out here on eastern LI, we were also hit in Dec. 2010 by a bad one.
  Mon. 11/12/12 2:53pm fishmonkeystew:

Tue. 11/13/12 8:23am Van in DC:
